Enjoy a lovely weekend getaway in this cute 1 bedroom loft, centrally located in Winchester, NH. Enjoy a tasting at New England Sweetwater Farm & Distillery next door and a pint on us at Outlaw Brewing Company. This cozy loft features a full kitchen, 3/4 bath as well as a bedroom and living/dining room. 20 minutes to Keene, Brattleboro and Chesterfield. Access to Pisgah State Park, the Ahsuelot Rail Trail and Forest Lake. Come see what our beautiful area has to offer! This is a walk-up loft located on the second floor of one of the original buildings to our sweet little town. Initially only two stories, the first floor (this loft) once held the town's post office! The downtown flooded in the early 1900s and the owners at the time lifted the entire building to add the first floor, making it the three stories you see today. There will be some loft to loft noise as this is an older building, and because we are conveniently located right downtown, there will also be some traffic noise. There is a historic church across the street from our loft and the church bells toll on the hour throughout the night. This is a historic feature of our little town, but some guests do find it disturbing. We have provided ear plugs in the medicine cabinet and a fan in the closet for guests who need a bit of white noise to drown out the bells or traffic at night. We have tried to provide for all of your potential needs, but if there is anything missing, please let us know so we can make sure your time with us is pleasant and stress free. Pets Well behaved pets are welcome, but we do ask that you include the pet fee for stays under four days. For stays for five days or more, we ask that you add the pet as an extra guest which is an extra fee. Damages including scratches, urine/feces, urine/feces odor, etc will be billed to the guest. Pets are not to be left unattended in the space unless placed in a guest provided crate or something similar. Guests are also asked to bring coverings for our furniture to keep pet dander off of our soft goods, bedding and furniture. Please pick up any animal waste and use poop bags with the regular trash. If you suffer from pet allergies we suggest you book elsewhere. Access is via electronic lock. Please review the check in guidelines for information on how to access the unit. We will also reach out with these instructions after booking. I am typically always available, and respond as soon as possible. I allow guests their space, but am happy to stop by to say hello if you would like to meet in person/have any needs during your stay. Feel free to reach out on the app and I will typically respond within the hour :) Downtown Winchester is a small 3 block historic New England town incorporated in 1753. It is geographically large with a small population base. This apartment looks out on Main St and the historic town hall and brick library. Because this a downtown building, all parking is public. During the non-winter months, parking is directly in front of the building. In the winter, you have your choice of the town lot across the street or our overflow parking across the footbridge. Parking There is street parking for the building, but there is no parking on site. During the winter months. there is an overnight street parking ban, but the town has provided two, very convenient options, across the street for our guests. More details provided with check-in instructions after booking. Steps/Stairs/Thresholds/Rugs This home has steps, stairs, thresholds and rugs. Please familiarize yourself with all of them and use caution during your stay so that you do not injure yourself. Cell Service/Internet Cell Service may be spotty in NewEngland, depending on your carrier and location. We have no issues here with Verizon and AT&T (T-Mobile is not good in Winchester but does work in Keene). It is best to download your welcome message before you come to the home. The internet is provided by Consolidated Communications is reliable except in severe weather conditions. Cleaning Fees Please understand that I believe in paying a living wage and fairly compensating my team. The team works hard to provide our guests with a clean and Covid-19 safe space to stay in. Expendables and Toiletries For stays longer than three nights, guests will be expected to supply their own toilet paper, tissues, soap, shampoo, coffee, spices etc if needed. Items Left Behind Please remember to take all of your personal belongings including electronics with you upon checkout. We are not responsible for any items left behind under any circumstances and while we will use best efforts to get them back to you we offer no promises or guarantees. You will be charged the respective shipping fee for any items left behind in addition to $25 for our time in finding, packaging and shipping. Early/Late Check-In/Out We do our best to accommodate all requests for early check-in or late check-out. Please contact the host if you need a check-in/out time outside of the set window. If you are requesting a time more than 2 hours outside the window we may need to charge a $25 convenience fee.
