Brunswick Homestead-1940's classic coastal home
Description
Reportedly the original farm homestead before Bruns was a town, this charming 1940's home in the heart of the quintessential Australian seaside town of Brunswick Heads boasts everything you and your family or friends could need for a cruisey little holiday. Grab a bike and ride into town or walk across the road for a float down the river. The house is fresh from a major facelift and has all the comforts to make your holiday a great one. (note new photos post renovation still to come!) The space Bruns is the way cooler little sister to Byron Bay. The whole town is flat and flanks a beautiful river and ocean beach. Everything is easily accessible on the pushbikes which come with the house, or grab the standup paddle board and walk across the road to the waters edge and go for a paddle down the tidal river either up into the tea tree forest, or down to town. You could paddle down to the famous old Bruns Pub, have a beer, and wait for the tide to turn and sweep you home again. Plenty of good restaurants, coffee shops, parks, beaches and waterfalls all within easy reach, and only a 15 minute drive to Byron if you want to surf The Pass, or get a photo wearing all linen for your 'gram. There is a master King room, and queen room located downstairs with a lux shared bathroom and internal laundry that opens out onto an outdoor shower bathed in northern sun. Downstairs you will also find a brand new kitchen and open plan living/dining area. There is plenty of space to put a cot in either the king room, or queen room/study- or both! Take your pick of hanging spaces between the front lawn with the fire pit ready to cook up a flame grilled feast, the back deck for some shade and lounging, in front of the internal fireplace in winter or the front deck for that delicious breakfast in the morning sun. Guest access The upstairs of the house is a separate tenancy and so you will enjoy the entire downstairs area including all of the garden areas and parking. Other things to note We love holidaying with our young Kelpie and would love to welcome your furry friend to holiday with you too. The house has a full perimeter fence for your pooch and is across the road from the river and park if they need a good bit of exercise. Please also note that it’s our home and would be really stoked if your dog didn't chew or damage our stuff. We have a couple of push bikes and a surf ski and Stand Up Paddleboard which you are welcome to use. The house is freshly renovated and has everything you need for an easy family holiday, or base for exploring the area or local music festivals. The fire pit with hanging grill plate next to the veggie patch is our own personal favourite place to wind down with a drink and cook a steak on the coals at the end of a day after your warm afternoon outdoor shower Registration details PID-STRA-69167
