Couran Cove Resort, Sth Stradbroke (Marina side)

Escape the city to island paradise, only a stone’s throw from the Gold Coast! This freshly furnished 2-bedroom beach house is on South Stradbroke Island. Accessible via boat. It's in a prime position within the Couran Cove Resort. Being on the marina side of the resort, you can pull your small boat or jetski right up to the beach. Some of the resort facilities are run down, but there is still plenty to do and see. The space The beach house features a kitchen, large lounge and marble bathroom with double sinks, shower and separate bath. It is fully air-conditioned (replaced in 2022) with a heating option for winter. The large deck with 8 seat outdoor setting overlooks the stunning marina. There are laundry facilities in the unit and linen/towels are included. Just bring your beach towels. Relax on the large deck overlooking the beautiful marina or take advantage of the activities available such as tennis, kayaking, hiking or soak up the sun in one of the two large resort pools. Boat access is needed to get to our lodge - take the ferry, water taxi or your own boat. There are currently disputes happening at Couran Cove between the resort and private residents, impacting some homes power and water. This does not currently impact our lodge, however it may mean due to less tourists that not all resort facilities will be open during your stay. Your stay is with private owners of a lodge of the island. Access to resort facilities is a bonus on top. Guest access Guests have access to the entire resort and house, except a couple cupboards inside and storage boxes outside used to store owner items. Other things to note The lodge is located on South Stradbroke Island. You can’t access the lodge by car. Our lodge is on the Marina side of the resort, so you can pull up your jetski or small boat right up to lodge. It’s a quick 30-minute boat ride from the Gold Coast - either via ferry, water taxi or personal boat. Coming from Brisbane with your own boat? Depending on where you put your boat in (e.g., Jacobs Well), its as little as 15 minutes in the boat.
