Description
The Old Brooder sleeps up to 22. It lies off the beaten track on our environmentally friendly working farm. You can walk, explore the farm trails and enjoy the wildlife or picnic in wildflower meadows, borrow our adult road bikes to cycle the quiet country lanes, or explore the incredible medieval Wool Towns like Lavenham just three miles down the road. You can bbq, play croquet and table tennis - and enjoy the space of a large property! We have free range hens and two friendly pigs. The space The Old Brooder is a luxury bunkhouse on a working farm with a mix of conventional beds and bunk beds (all with super-comfy mattresses) and a mix of three smaller private rooms (inc the restored Victorian shepherd's hut) sleeping two guests, and two larger rooms sleeping eight guests. The kitchen is well kitted out to cook and eat together, and the upstairs sitting room is great for chilling out in comfortable chairs and sofas. There are four loos and four showers. And in summer you can eat at picnic tables in the garden, play a spot of croquet or badminton or stroll around the farm. Guest access This is a rural location without buses but the tiny Sudbury train station is 15 minutes away (good links to London), and once here you can borrow our fleet of adult road bikes to explore - and safe lock-up if you bring your own bike. There is also plenty of parking in a large car park if you want to bring a car here.
