A well-appointed, comfortable, ocean front apartment perfect for relaxation, with amazing views and a pool. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the private balcony. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean in new comfortable beds. Cook a meal in the large kitchen, or eat at one of the many outstanding restaurants, all within a 10 minute walk. Lounge in the hot tub, swim in the pool or the ocean (Banderas Bay), which is just four steps down from the pool deck. No children under 12, sorry. This is a very large apartment with an open plan kitchen, dining and living room, two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms. This is not an investment property that is only ever used by Airbnb guests. We live here part of the year and it is our home, so it is very well equipped and cared for. The large master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with two sinks, large granite bathtub and shower stall. Two large built-in closets with floor-to-ceiling mirrors also contain a safe and several drawers. The king-size bed with headboard from local hardwood has a brand new memory-foam topped mattress and soft cotton sheets. Side tables with granite-shaded lamps create a warm ambiance. Opposite the bed, there is a dresser with a Roku (internet-connected) TV. A balcony door, with insect screen allows you to sleep to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. The wall-unit air conditioner is brand new and independently controlled. A writing desk and chair allow you to work, through you probably won't want to! The second bedroom has two twin beds, also with brand new mattresses. The two beds can also be pushed together and re-dressed with king-sheets to host another couple. This bedroom also has its own balcony door with insect screen. A built-in closet is roomy for your bags and clothes. A large TV cabinet and bookcase also includes another Roku-connected TV. A wall unit air-conditioner is also brand new and independently controlled. A door from this bedroom leads to the connected bathroom, with another shower and basin sink. This bathroom is also connected to the living area through another door. In the living room, we have a 55" TV (internet connected) with Bose soundbar A comfy couch and two armchairs allow you to gather around the coffee table for game night or movie night. This is also our internet and smart-home center. We have fiber-optic internet (200Mbps) that is distributed via mesh network Wifi to every corner of the apartment and beyond (hint: pool-side high speed Wifi? Yup!). In the center of the living area we have a 6-seat hardwood dining table with a lovely and chandelier, for your meals. Though you might also use the granite dining table on the balcony, we usually eat outdoors. The kitchen isn't your typical bare-bones "rental kitchen." We love to cook and our kitchen is equipped for any meal. We have toasters, toaster overs, blenders, slow cookers, stick blenders, pots and pans, tons of utensils and "tupper" containers. Enough to fill the double-door fridge or large freezer. We have plates, bowls, glasses and mugs but also vinyl plates, drink "glasses" and cups for the pool area, where glass is obviously not allowed. A 6-burner gas stove with grill plate and oven is under a built-in powerful microwave. Filtered water (reverse osmosis) is provided by a smaller tap by the sink and there is also a water-cooler tower that dispenses chilled bottled water from a large jug. Finally, a dishwasher for the cleanup! Our cleaning & laundry room has a high-quality large stacked washer-dryer unit as well as closets with all the laundry, cleaning, and other supplies. In one of the closets you will find a dozen fluffy beach towels, umbrellas, beach toys and games etc. and in the other all the bathroom towels and bathroom supplies. On the top shelf we have our yoga mats, foam roller, yoga blocks and dumbbell weights, for some fitness. Last, but most certainly not least: the balcony. We've arranged it into four "nooks" that see plenty of use all through the day. Starting in the left (east) side, is our sunrise "coffee nook", with it's own sun umbrella. Next, we have the reading couch, just outside the guest bedroom window. In the middle is the large granite dining table (with umbrella). Finally, on the other end is our island view and sunset nook, with two recliners (loungers) topped with plush cushions and aimed towards the Marietas Islands. Another umbrella for shade here too. Our balcony is like a jungle retreat. With the palm trees just about balcony-height, you get a lot of privacy but can still choose to site in the areas that give you an amazing view. Birdwatching, sunrises and sunsets accompanied by the sound and smell of the ocean waves. It's like a yacht, but more luxurious. Upon booking you will be given a key code to access the building and the apartment. Both the neighborhood and the village are extremely safe at all times of the day and night. Lots of free street parking is available. Even on the busiest holiday you will find parking within a couple blocks, but most of the time right in front of the building. From the apartment you can walk to the center of the village within 10 minutes, but there are also small shops and restaurants closer, within a few blocks. On the main road of the village you will find a well equipped supermarket (Olin Market), OXO convenience store, bank machines and lots of shops. Along the water front there are 8-10 restaurants serving everything from local and inexpensive seafood to 5-star meals with "10-star" views of the ocean. Some of our favorite restaurants anywhere are right here! Try Mina (Si Senor) or La Pescadora if you want an incredible experience. You can rent a car from the airport in Vallarta, which you will need if you want to visit some of the surrounding towns and beaches. But many of the best experiences are within walking distance. Honestly we have spent weeks without leaving the village at all. Our property managers (Betty & Dario) will be greeting you at check-in and are in the area in case you need something. The building engineer (Rada) is there every Mon-Sat from 7am to 3pm, for any maintenance issues. Contact us through the Airbnb app, anytime! The building has only 12 condos including this one. You'll enter the complex through a locked gate on the street side and on the beach side. In our experience, the neighborhood is very safe. We have walked at all hours of the day and night without problems. The locals will smile and say hello if you do. They are usually very friendly. When walking around you might see chickens, roosters, dogs, cats, and iguanas. The animals here are uninterested in humans, so just walk right by. The neighborhood has everything you need within a 15 minute walk including an upscale food, drinks, and general supplies market (Ollin), two cafes, many excellent restaurants that accept credit cards, street food vendors (pay with cash), pharmacies, a doctor, and a hospital. Free parking on the street is usually plentiful and easy. Get around best by driving or walking. There are paved and unpaved roads. Our cleaner is paid a fair and living wage and has a regular schedule: the apartment is cleaned at least every two weeks, or after every stay, whichever comes first. The apartment is in a condominium building (12 apartments) with other residents who live here year-round. We share a common area (pool, outdoor kitchen and hot tub), with the other residents. This is our home and not just an investment property and we know (and like!) our neighbors. This is not a party building, but a quiet oasis. We ask that you respect our neighbors as we do. The condominium association has a list of rules that all guest must agree to before check-in. These are common-sense rules to prevent noise, nuisance, damage and danger to anyone else in the building. Additionally, the government of Mexico requires that all guests present passports at check-in and that we record their details. Unfortunately, we cannot host families with children under 12 as it is against the condominium rules, die to safety (open access pool) and noise concerns.
