Evermoore Castle | Enchanting Stay w/ River Access

Evermoore Castle is a 1-of-a-kind, European-style chateau nestled between Bellingen & the Promised Land. Set beneath Old Man Dreaming mountain & edged by the Never Never River, the property offers a calm stillness, sweeping mountain views, & deep sense of harmony with nature. Feel as though you've stepped into a fairytale! *Enjoy magical dinners in the Great Hall *Swim & picnic at the clean, natural river *Wander the forest trail/explore the maze *Gather by the fire pit for sunsets/stargazing The space Inside the Main Castle: *The Great Hall is the heart of Evermoore Castle. It features soaring ceilings, twelve stained-glass windows, a sandstone fireplace, and a dining table that seats up to eighteen guests. *The Master Bedroom features a queen bed, wardrobe, marble-top desk, and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. This bedroom is wheelchair accessible. *The Mezzanine Bedroom looks out over the Great Hall and features 2 single beds, a small kitchenette, and an adjacent toilet and shower. *The Turret Bedroom on the third floor offers a cozy double bed, a wardrobe, and a private balcony overlooking the eucalyptus tree and wishing well. The custom-sized double bed is not ideal for taller guests. **Please note: A spiral staircase connects the Great Hall to the mezzanine and turret; it is steep and not suitable for guests with mobility limitations. *The kitchen is fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, including a gas stove, steam oven, baking oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Enjoy ample counter and cooking space! *Our laundry facilities are complimentary and include a washer, dryer, and outdoor clothesline. *An outdoor BBQ is available for use. The Octagon Suite: *Enjoy this peaceful and private separate space just steps from the castle; can either feature 2 king single beds or 1 king bed (please request preferred setup at least one week before arrival). *Includes a small double sofabed, relaxing bathtub, and kitchenette. *This suite is near the water pump, which activates when the castle bathrooms are used. It is not recommended for very light sleepers. **Please note: The toilet is located in the castle, approximately 25 meters away. Exploring the Enchanting Grounds: *Relax around the fire pit for cozy evenings and stargazing. *Explore the unique cactus garden filled with sculptural beauty. *Help yourself to citrus fruit in our tiny orchard *Wander through the hedge maze. *Our private swimming hole in the crystal-clear Never Never River, with a shaded riverbank and rope swing makes for a wonderful day! Please send us a message to book all 3! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire castle, Octagon Suite, private swimming hole, maze, and grounds. Please be aware that you might be sharing the swimming hole and forest with guests staying in the disco studio, also on the property. You might also run into the owners, Rache and Andre, in the garden or taking a dip. Please do not enter the Homestead or Disco Studio unless you have also booked those spaces for your group. The machinery shed is out of bounds. Undercover parking is available for 3 vehicles, with ample space for an additional six cars on the property. Additional parking can be arranged at the Homestead upon request The ground level of the castle is wheelchair accessible. Other things to note Please let us know at least 1 week in advance if you'd like a specific bed configuration in the Octagon Suite (king bed or 2 king singles). The ground floor of the castle is wheelchair accessible. We recommend bringing your own bicycles to explore at a more leisurely pace; however, we do have 3 mountain bikes available if we are not using them. Evermoore Castle is a beautiful setting for weddings, photoshoots, and family gatherings. Frequently Asked Questions: 1) Can we bring extra people? The nightly rate is for 8 guests. We welcome larger groups to book “The Disco Studio” (sleeping up to 6) or “The Homestead Suite” (sleeping up to 3). Depending on how many extra people there can be a surcharge of up to $75 per person. We can provide additional single or double mattresses upon request. Please let us know if you'll be having more than 8 guests staying. 2) Does it rain often? Yes. Bellingen has one of the highest rainfall levels in Australia, which is reflected in its lush landscape and ever-flowing Never Never River. It also means we get lots of rainbows at the property. :) 3) Can we swim in your river? Absolutely. However, please note that the river can be dangerous after rainfall and is suitable for strong swimmers only. We have our own private rocky beach, a rope swing, and floaties to play in the swimming hole. Swimming is at your own risk. 4) Do you allow parties? We encourage you to enjoy the eccentricities of the castle and definitely enjoy a themed costume dinner and sunset cocktails; however, please respect our neighbours and ensure any amplified music is played within the castle walls or carport, with amplified music turned off by 10 pm. Ambient music is okay inside the castle with the doors kept closed. The castle is filled with antiques and precious items, so we ask that the property be treated with care. We have a large JBL Bluetooth speaker for you, and the sound system you would like to bring requires prior approval. 5) Is there wifi or phone reception? Yes, we have wifi in the castle, not the Octagon suite. Phone reception is limited. Telstra phone reception is good up at the main homestead, with limited connection with other providers. 6) Is there a TV at the property? Yes. We have TV and DVD players in both castle bedrooms with various DVDs. 7) Are pets allowed? No, pets are not allowed. Due to the castle's precious nature and our previous experience hosting pets, we can no longer allow pets in the castle. We have a second Airbnb on the property in which pets are allowed, you can search for The Disco Studio or message us for information. 8) Are there dangerous animals? There are occasional nonvenomous snakes on the property, diamond pythons and green tree snakes, they are relatively harmless to humans. There are rare sightings of red belly black snakes down by the dam, so please avoid. We also have ticks in spring and summer, so please avoid walking through long grass.
