Haren's Nest- Stunning Moab Hillside Oasis

Welcome to our secluded, hillside oasis! Situated in the Moab high desert, Haren's Nest is outside of town surrounded with sweeping mountain and red rock views. We offer a full-service, open floor plan studio that can sleep up to 5. Authentic, quiet and comfortable, your home away from home is surrounded by stunning panoramic views and includes all the amenities. Families and pets will be comfortable with ample fenced yard space. The space You will be delighted to find that you truly have your own home away from home at the Haren's Nest B&B. We are a father/daughter custom home contractor team, and joyfully put our heart into every aesthetic and functional detail of this space. Throughout your space you will encounter what we like to call a 'living gallery.' From the artwork, kitchenware, to the coffee mugs and locally roasted coffee, to the soaps in your bathroom and the furniture adorning the space- everything possible is hand-crafted by local artisans. Amongst the breathing sprawl of happy house plants is a window to the true Moab community. We strongly believe in spreading conscious tourism, creating a healthy vibrant experience for local artists and travelers alike. Holding the space for inspiration and exchange between the two is our way of cultivating a healthy symbiotic relationship and a healthy local economy. We just look to our unique landscape for inspiration, and invite you to do the same. This full-service apartment is located on a south-facing slope above the charming Moab Valley, 3 miles south of town. We're up on a hillside, so sunsets and sunrises here are amazing! You'll access the Haren's Nest via your own private driveway, and let the pups and children run free in your very own private, fenced yard with BBQ, fruit trees, clothesline and a handmade iron fire pit.  Your space is fully private though it is attached to our home as the lower level (we share a floor/ceiling). Our other room (the Aerie Loft) is located at the top of a staircase on another level. The base of this staircase shares a landing with the Nest's French doors. Other than this landing, all other living spaces, including outdoors areas, are separated. Please note- despite sound-proofing, sometimes light steps can be heard from up above. If you are an extra light sleeper, please keep this in mind. Included in your experience is a wonderful full kitchen great for cooking nourishing meals and fresh brewing our locally roasted coffee and/or local tea (which we provide for free to our guests). We are supplied by delicious well water so don’t worry about bringing bottled water for your stay! We have a full sized fridge/freezer, toaster, crockpot, coffee maker, electric stove/oven, microwave, pots/pans/cookware, drying rack for hand washing dishes. The living space is cozy and gorgeous - with tasteful furniture, gas quartzite fireplace, a luggage rack/armoire/open shelving for clothing, super comfy futon, and queen-sized sleigh bed adorned in feather down comforters and pillows (feather-free alternative available upon request). We can sleep 5 people comfortably in the open floor plan studio with the addition of our thick mattress futon and roll away floor mattress, just let us know beforehand and we will provide all the fixings. Note that there is NO television in the Nest, and in its place we have a full hook up music player (radio, records, cd, aux and USB) local books, puzzles, playing cards and games. You will enjoy a full bathroom, including washer/dryer with a spacious, walk-in, light-filled, glass-enclosed, custom shower. We provide an iron and hairdryer as well. Guest access Guests have access to a private driveway, private yard, full kitchen, fireplace full bathroom, private laundry facilities, comfortable sleeping for up to 5, high speed internet, stunning panoramic views of the red rock cliffs and La Sal Mountains, delicious well water, garden veggies/fruits that are in season, and famous frisbee golf course just down the street next to a sleepy oasis of Old City Park. Other things to note We are a pet friendly establishment! Our charge is $50 for a pet stay. Please communicate about your pets so that we can provide pet sheets for our furniture, and prepare the cleaning crew for a deep clean upon your departure. Pet fees can be paid in cash, cash sharing apps, or through Airbnb's special request feature. Welcome children! If you have small children, just let us know and we will move delicate plants and artwork to spaces out of reach. Your kitchen will come fully stocked with breakfast fixings for the duration of your stay- please communicate with us about any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Basic breakfast fixings include organic cereal, milk, half&half, fruit, eggs, coffee and tea. As our space also operates as a local 'living gallery' we ask our guests to acknowledge our trust and community's trust in having fine handmade art and products nestled into every part the Nest experience, and we ask for our guests to return this trust with a sense of responsibility and respect of the space and all the energy that has gone into it.
