Close to the PEAK district for countryside walks 🥾 *FREE PARKING 🅿️ * The entrance opens into a lounge with solid wood flooring and low ceiling. Back in 1790, families would have been raised in these bijou cottages. Upon renovation, the original 235 year old fire surround was discovered and restored. A log burner was installed so you can relax and wind down on a cold winters evening 🔥 🪵 ( a starter pack of logs are provided OCTOBER - MAY). The lounge offers a comfortable double electric recliner sofa & throws, coffee table, dining table and chairs, FREE wifi, FREE netflix, books and games cupboard! 🍴 The property has an extension on the rear which provides a fully equipped kitchen, with induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil, washing up liquid, and dish washer tablets. 🚾 On the downstairs level there is a bathroom, with underfloor heating, shower, toilet and sink. (Towels included) 🍃 The back door opens to a private walled garden with secure gate and bamboo screens for privacy. A bbq zone and seating area with umbrella . 🍖 ☀️ The garden is south facing and offers plenty of sunshine ! Access to the stairs is through a small door located just as you walk into the lounge. The staircase is narrow but has a new installed grab rail. 🛌 Upstairs offers a double bedroom with bed linen provided. Dressing table with hairdryer / plug socket nearby, wardrobe, hangers, iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, extra bedding / pillows and long wall mirror. The property offers gas central heating throughout. 🔥 STRICTLY NO CATS DUE TO ALLERGIES *Please be aware this property may not be suitable for wheelchair access. Other historic towns such as Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Castleton are all within easy distance driving. (or by train) Peak District walks and cycle rides from Edale and Ashbourne are within easy reach and the historic spa town of Buxton, home of Poole’s cavern and the Victorian opera house can be reached in around forty minutes. The bustling historic centre of Derby is just 11 miles away and has cinemas, bowling, shopping malls, escape rooms and many more attractions. Alton Towers theme park is less than an hour's drive and Nottingham City Centre is 40 mins direct train from Belper. Chatsworth House, Heage Windmill, the Blue John Mines, Pickfords House, Calke Abbey, the Heights of Abraham's and Gulliver's Kingdom are also in easy reach. Tapo CT82 security camera is located on the exterior of the property, next to the bedroom window. The camera is directed at the back garden gate for security reasons only. Guest outdoor eating area is NOT under surveillance / recorded. So if you dont drive, you can easily access the cottage! Other things to note No smoking permitted inside the cottage, however ashtrays are located in the garden area & ash bucket.
