The Artist’s Studio, 2+ Bed., Fisherman’s Cottage

Just a few steps away from the historic harbour in Burghead on the Moray Coast is ‘The Artist’s Studio’. Guests will have sole use of this charming, traditional cottage, with two double bedrooms, art studio with sofa bed, kitchen, livingroom, bathroom with shower, and garden. TV, Wi-Fi and a wood burning stove are all provided for guest use. The Harbour Inn is next door and a general store, a pharmacy and ‘The Bothy’ cafe/restaurant, are all within easy walking distance. The space - Ideal for couples or small families. There will be an additional charge for more than 4 guests to cover the extra laundry. Please let the hosts know, when you book, if you need the sofa bed made up. - Formerly owned by an artist and art-lover, this bright modernised cottage and it’s location are the perfect destination for those seeking a seaside painting holiday or just a getaway by the sea. - On the ground floor, bedroom 1 has a king-size bed. The living-room has a wood burning stove, with fuel provided, and a TV. WiFi is also available. A small but well-equipped kitchen is just off the living-room. There is a spacious bathroom with an over-bath shower to the rear of the property. Access to the outdoor space is also to the rear of the property. - Upstairs, Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Bedroom 3 is an artist’s studio with a small but comfortable sofa-bed and contains a small selection of artists’ equipment and supplies for guest use. A wide selection of art reference books and a sunny reading nook on the landing are available for those seeking inspiration. - Both the living room and bedroom 2 have views to the busy harbour and Burghead bay beyond. -The outdoor space is sunny and secluded with garden furniture and a sheltered ‘sit-ooterie’. A small kettle barbecue can be made available on request. - Small, well-behaved pets are welcome but must bring their own bedding and towels and be kept off all furniture. There will be an additional charge for any additional guests (more than 4) to cover the extra laundry and cleaning. - If you are likely to need a mid-stay clean and linen/towel change, please notify the hosts. There will be an additional charge for this and you may be required to pay the host or cleaner directly. - Although, listed as able to host a maximum of 6 people, please be aware that, as you can see from the photographs, the kitchen and living-room of this traditional cottage are small.
