Cozy Mountain Chalet in Jay, NY on beautiful Glen Road. Only .7 miles to the Jay Covered Bridge, 3 miles to the Jay Mountain summit trail head, 7 miles to Whiteface Mountain, and 16 miles to Lake Placid. Keene and Keene Valley trail heads are only minutes away. The cabin has 3 acres of wooded property with a front driveway as well as a back access drivweway which is nice to walk. There is Satellite TV and wifi. There is good cell coverage. World Class Fishing, Ausable Rivers are close The interior of the cabin is all knotty pine with comfortable furniture, a full kitchen, full bath, 1 bedroom and full loft with 2 additional beds. There is an wrap around outside deck to have your morning coffee or barbeque your favorite dinner. There is also a small fire pit to chill at after a day out and about. The area is very nice for walking, jogging, biking. Cabin is on a very nice road with little traffic. Turn right out the driveway and you'll find nice views and safe places to exercise. Stars can be awesome as well. Not much artificial light in the area. Devin Store and garage is 1 mile away. They have most of what you'll need to get by. Plus, they have the best NY Cheddar around. Awesome Mac & Cheese dishes with this stuff. Wilmington is 6 miles away with another little store and a few nice places to check out, especially the chocolate store. North Pole is just a couple more miles from there I can be reached directly via cell phone if need be. There are other homes in the area. Some seasonal some year round. Most homes have 3 or more acres Great area to exercise outdoors. Safe low traffic roads with a combination of hills and flat areas. Some very nice views as well especially if you turn right out the drive and explore a little The cabin is a very nice little place. It has been our base camp for over 20yrs. There are a combination of year round and seasonal neighbors. Please respect others by not partying or being to loud. I am a ADK 46er. Just about every climb started and ended in this cabin.
