We are fortunate to have a wonderful couple who watch over OCEANA and are available in the event of an emergency pertaining to the house. Yachats, known as the "Gem of the Oregon Coast" is a bit eccentric, a bit whimsical and always delightful. The engaging setting and ecclectic charm of this tiny seaside village offers a refreshing retreat from the hustle of city life and a welcome alternative to the impersonal quality of a large coastal community. Nestled between lush forested mountains and rhythmic Pacific surf, the quaint town of Yachats opens a window to the environment. It also offers a wonderful mix of shops and art galleries, comfortable coffee houses and restaurants, wine bars, pubs and lounges, and astonishing views. The Adobe Restaurant and Lounge is a 15 minute walk South on the 804 trail from OCEANA, offering a range of Northwest cuisine and beautiful ocean views. The Drift Inn, Great food, a nice wine selection, and live music most weekends. Ona Restaurant and Lounge, Very good food, imaginatively presented Luna Sea Fish House, Excellent and fresh seafood OTHER ACTIVITIES: Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, South on Hwy 101, 10 minutes from OCEANA: Includes 23 miles of trails that include both seashore and forest settings. Devil's Churn Cape Perpetua: A crack in the bedrock that funnels water into a narrow channel with explosive results!
