Hit the slopes at Elk Mountain when there is snow or to hike in the summer. Bring your Snowmobiles and Side by Sides for the Rail to Trials through NEP, or bring your book and your loved ones and simply enjoy nature and decompress. The space Inside is much more Rustic than exterior leads you to believe. It has high vaulted ceilings and the main space is lined with barn wood. Has a Wood burning stove tucked between a cozy living room and dining room table. The three bedrooms range in size and the master is smaller but on the main living space if stairs are an issue for any guest. Guest access The road to the cottage is a dirt road and has a creek that needs to be driven over, road is built under it. It was intended to be driven over. We recommend 4 X4 vehicles especially during snow filled visits. You assume full responsibility driving the road to the cottage. Other things to note This home is secluded and remote. If you are not comfortable with driving a dirt road, this home is not for you. We are literally located over the creek and through the woods. Also Firewood for the indoor stove and outdoor pit is not provided. But the forest is plentiful if you would like to foraged. In the winter months we recommend checking in advance for storms, similar to traveling to a beach destination during hurricane season. Timing on the roads getting plowed in storms is not in our control. We do our best to give our guests a heads up but always better to check before you leave home.
