Up A Creek on Claytor Lake

Enjoy looking at the lake from almost every room in the house. Wake up in any bedroom with a view of the lake. Have coffee on the porch while the sun rises, walk straight into the lake from the boat landing, enjoy relaxing on the patio, lay out in the sun, jump off the private dock, build a sandcastle on the beach, and then finish your day with a campfire in the fire pit while still looking at the lake with the moon shining down. The space Please know that the last 1 mile to the lake home is a 1 lane, maintained gravel road. If you aren't familiar with traditional roads to lake homes, know that what you will travel on is normal for most homes on Claytor Lake. Please use caution and do not speed. You are 38 miles from VT's Lane Stadium & Castle Coliseum (Go Hokies), 24 miles from Radford University, 7.6 miles from Draper Mercantile (great breakfast/brunch & shopping) with several area wineries, distilleries, breweries, & less than 6 miles from I-81 to get you to any destination you desire. But if you choose to stay in, you will have a private dock, beach area, patio & porch all overlooking Claytor Lake while you enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, a fire pit and/or just relaxing. There are neighbors on each side of the home. Please be respectful of your noise levels. Guest access You have access to the entire house and property. Parking is available in the driveway as well as at the top of the driveway. Also know that parking can be tricky with more than 5 cars so carpooling is strongly recommended. Do not park on or around the well by roadside sign. No smoking, cats or rabbits on the entire property as homeowner is allergic. Other things to note Some paper towels & several rolls of toilet paper are provided. Should you feel you’ll need more, you’re encouraged to plan before your arrival. Please only use septic friendly toilet paper (Angel Soft). Don't forget to bring your dogs to enjoy the lake with you. They are not allowed in the 1st bedroom intended to be an allergen reduction room for guests who need that for comfortable sleeping. Please clean up after your dogs & place blankets or towels down where they sit and lay on furniture. These small requests help everyone enjoy the house & property. Dog bowls, dog toys, pooper scooper, trash can specially for dog poop, & leash lead is available. Parties are welcome at the permission of the homeowners. To respect the neighbors & other people enjoying the lake around you, please wind down your party by 11 pm. No smoking, cats or rabbits as owner is allergic. We do not have trash pickup service so please DO NOT dispose of loose trash in the outdoor trash cans. Only put trash that is in a kitchen size trash bag, located under the sink, into the bin. It is too hard for the homeowner to remove loose trash due to size of trash bin that is bear proof. Our caretaker will check after each renter to ensure compliance.
