Description

Located between Okayama, Kurashiki, Takamine, and Kitakagoshu, this is the perfect place to stay for sightseeing in Okayama, which opened at the end of November 2021. ★Indoors Renovated over 100 years ago, the interior is stylishly designed by a first-class architect who has been involved in the design of the Fuji TV Bay Area Studio, GINZA SIX, and more, and has a one-rank higher quality feel. We have a fridge, oven range, IH stove, coffee tools for coffee lovers, and a toaster that is very popular with bread lovers, so you can enjoy your stay in elegance. It is cool at high altitudes, and from October to May (or so, depending on the weather), you can also enjoy the fireplace burning brightly. The storehouse has thick walls, so you don't have to worry about the sound like a normal private lodging. Loud music is also OK if you close the windows. ★Outdoors Enjoy breakfast and coffee on the terrace with a great view, or use the outdoor fire pit and barbecue. (No loud noise outdoors after 8 pm.) We also provide rural activities such as strawberry picking, summer vegetable harvesting, and firewood chopping. ※ In summer, insects usually come out, so please refrain from booking if you don't like them. The space While the exterior retains its beautiful appearance that has withstood 100 years of wind and snow, the interior has been functionally and cleanly renovated by the host, who is an architectural designer. The first floor has a dining room, kitchen, shower room, washroom, toilet connected by a hallway, and laundry space. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, including cookware and dishes, as well as cooking classes. The second floor is a spacious bedroom, with a comfortable queen-sized futon bed in the dimly lit space of an ancient storehouse. Thick earthen walls protect you from outside noise, and you can enjoy a quiet sleep as if sleeping in the deep forest, while feeling the air and presence of wildlife in the forest. If there are 3 people, we will provide another set of bedding. Guest access The guest house and the host's residence are related to the detached house and the main house. You can use the entire warehouse, the toilet connected by the corridor, and the laundry space. There is a garden table in the stone paved area in front of the main house overlooking the satoyama, so please use it for barbecues, outdoor breakfasts, etc. You can also enjoy yoga and more in the square. There are no boundaries, such as gardens and fields, but you can enter freely. Depending on the season, we also provide strawberries and vegetables in the guest field. There are 2 free parking spaces along the roadside about 200 m from the warehouse. Other things to note The hosts are a couple who moved from Tokyo in 2016 and are practicing a self-sufficient life. We renovated this warehouse ourselves. If you like, you can take advantage of a variety of activities related to country life, including advice on country life and moving, wood splitting, mushroom picking, wild vegetable picking, DIY guidance and cooking classes, etc., based on various real feelings that only practitioners can convey. (For those staying 2 nights or more, cooking classes are available for a minimum of 2 people. Personal lessons are also available, but they are expensive. We are also both rock climbers, so we can guide you to rocky areas. please feel free to ask. Registration Details M330029926
