Stay in an artist’s home with a wild 2-acre garden and stream at the edge of a friendly village. Quirky décor, unique and stunning artworks, and a peaceful setting make this an inspiring retreat for walkers, writers, and creatives. Relax in our orchard, enjoy the fire side and yoga studio, when available, or simply wander the garden. We’re close to Builth Wells and the Brecon Beacons, with a railway station on the scenic Heart of Wales line right next door. Fold down bed for a child if needed The space Welcome to our home, a creative and peaceful retreat set in a wild two-acre garden with a stream running along the edge of it. At the edge of a small, friendly village, the house feels both secluded and connected, with birdsong and nature all around yet the railway station right next door on the scenic Heart of Wales line and near the A470 for easy driving. The property offers off road parking and a safe place to park bikes. As artists, we’ve filled the house with paintings (both ours and other people's), alter spaces and quirky décor. Guests love the character this gives the space — every corner holds something unique to discover. The guest bedroom is cosy and light, with fresh linens and views of the trees, railway line and the land. You’re welcome to enjoy reading the books, yoga studio (when available) and of course the garden itself, with plenty of spots to read, sketch, or simply unwind. Whether you’re here for the Hay Festival, Royal Welsh show, exploring Builth Wells and the Brecon Beacons, or just seeking quiet time in nature, this is a place to slow down and reconnect. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing our home, but we also respect privacy — you can choose how much or little to interact. Many guests tell us they leave feeling refreshed and inspired by both the house and the landscape. Guest access Guests have access to the kitchen, dining room, and downstairs bathroom. Our own en-suite, sitting room, and artist’s studio are private, but we’re always happy to chat and share the house. At times there may be other guests, so the kitchen and bathroom could be shared. You’re welcome to explore the two-acre permaculture garden, with its woods, stream, and peaceful corners. A key to the front door is provided so you can come and go freely. The yoga studio is also available for guest use when not in session — a beautiful space to stretch, meditate, or simply relax. During your stay We’re warm and approachable hosts who enjoy meeting new people, but we also respect your privacy. We’re happy to share tips about the local area or simply give you space to relax — the choice is always yours. Other things to note If you like watching T.V this isn't the place for you as we don't have one on the property, but there is good wifi.
