This listing provides self-check in access to an 1,100 sq.ft apartment within a larger 3-unit house- there are no shared spaces other than the parking! The apartment will fit 4 people comfortably. The master bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed, while the rest of the space offers a multipurpose daybed that easily sleeps 2 (complete with extra sheets, duvets, and linens). The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized fridge, stove, oven, sink, toaster, and coffeemaker. The spacious living room provides a panoramic view of the property through bay windows. You'll have complete and private access to your apartment through a beautiful covered porch, complete with seating, a small table, an outdoor grill and multiple parking spots. We prefer to communicate through the Airbnb app, and Bernie lives on the other side of the house if anything arises! This is one of the oldest residences in a historic neighborhood- Depot Town is just a mile down the street, which offers an impressive array of bars and restaurants as well as a popular local food co-op. If you like to walk around, our adjacent street Forest Avenue will provide direct routes to a few local parks. This house and the local area is LGBTQ+ friendly. By car, we’re just 10-15 minutes to anywhere in Ann Arbor; without a car, there’s a bus stop directly in front of the house, which will take you to the Ypsilanti Transit Center and all around the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area! Uber/Lyft to downtown Ypsi or Depot Town is just 5 bucks- to Ann Arbor, roughly 15-30. The house is over 100 years old, so there are some creaks and minor sounds- but the quirks of the property vastly outweigh the imperfections. There’s also radiator heating, controlled by a small knob on the side of each radiator. If the temperature is still unbalanced, we have two space heaters and two air conditioning units available!
