Dancing Baobab is a private family holiday home situated on Takaungu creek, just south of Kilifi creek and within the Kilifi plantation farm in Kenya. Although Dancing Baobab is on a secluded beach, it is not remote, making transfers straightforward. On arrival, you will be met by the staff (a cook, his assistant and a maid). Jess and Kash are also on hand for any queries or concerns. The space Dancing Baobab is a spacious and comfortable six bedroomed house, each with their own bathroom, for groups of up to 12 pax. In the main house, there are 6 bedrooms, a large central seating and dining area with a downstairs loo, kitchen & pantry, and large verandahs. The pool house host another large dining and seating area, along with an additional double en-suite bedroom. The house is fully staffed and visitors have full and exclusive use of the house and grounds, and access straight onto the very quiet public beach. With its high, makuti thatched (palm-tile) roof, large, breezy bedrooms and personal décor of paintings, Dancing Baobab feels comfortably lived in. Our home is decorated with turquoise and white bringing the colours of the sea to our living environment. There’s plenty of comfy seating here in the shape of sofas and armchairs, and large tables. Meals can be had en plain air under a shady tree or by the pool. The whole house is on the mains electricity grid, and has a solar powered back up inverter system and there are plenty of UK-style three-pin sockets . Wifi available for those who need to be in touch with family and friends. The two downstairs rooms open out onto their own verandahs and are secure with bars and locks. The upstairs section is secured by one main door and all bedrooms are off one passageway. The two master bedrooms either end of the house have their own verandahs and en-suite bathrooms. There is a central seating area upstairs as well. All rooms have ceiling / standing fans and nets. Other things to note The house is rented on a self-catered basis with the services of a full house team who will look after you during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the kitchenware needed, but we do not provide any consumables for your stay. Your bed linen and towels will be changed every 3 days unless requested otherwise, and personal laundry can be done for you too. The house is covered by KK security and has panic buttons within the property. These will be pointed out by the staff. There is also a safe in which to keep valuables.
