Adorable Suite in Historic Isam White House

Adorable third floor suite in the historic Isam White House. Includes bedroom, kitchenette with microwave, hot water kettle, small fridge and private bathroom with tub/shower. This is one of the last grand mansions downtown that hasn't been converted to condos or offices. We are at the shopping and restaurant districts of Northwest 21st and 23rd Avenues. Walkability score of 97! The space The small bedroom was the original maid's room for this grand mansion. It's been modernized with a brand new bathroom and kitchenette. There is a little station in the shared hall with Hershey’s kisses, teas, instant coffee (we are not trying to compete with Ken's bakery just around the corner) and additional toiletries. The room at the top of the stairs without the electronic lock has a larger garbage can if you want to empty your smaller one into and this is also where the washer and dryer, iron and ironing board is stored. We make the beds in the European style with a duvet. There are extra sheets and blankets in the closet. We are in an urban environment. Easy parking on the street and we recommend downloading the Parking Kitty App. Meters are monitored from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (watch the signs). There are two bus stops within two blocks and ample street parking. Portland has the orange bike sharing program and there are two kiosks filled with bikes a block away. Pay lot on the corner of 19th and Everett (one block away). There are also other numerous pay lots. Search “Smart Park” and it will give you a couple locations about 1 km away. Great if you want to leave your car and forget about it. Guest access You will enter through a private gate and through the garden to the back door which is the private access point for the third floor guest suites. You will have your own door and gate codes. Each suite is separate and private from each other and the main house. We might pass in the stair hall, but other than that, we will stay out of your way. Other things to note You must be able to climb 3 flights of stairs! This is a third floor suite. There is NO elevator. This is 1 of 3 suites on the floor. You may hear other guests during your stay.
