Access to the areas famous Rail Trail from the backyard for beautiful hikes all year long. Outside fire pits to roast marsh-mellows and indoor wood burning stove to sip hot chocolate and watch the snowfall or the most beautiful sunsets from the deck. We also want your furry friends to be happy, so dog beds and bowls are available upon request (note: there is a $50 charge per pet/per stay to help keep this clean!) Make yourselves at home! You will have access to the entire house. We want you to take this opportunity to live like a local and explore this amazing area - or just park yourselves at home for a relaxing visit. Kerhonkson is a small hamlet located near Accord, tucked into the Rondout Valley between the Catskills and the Shawangunk Ridge. The property is near to Mohonk Minnewaska Mountains--perfect for hikes and climbing--as well as the Kerhonkson Rail Trail. It's also located minutes from some of our favorite local places like Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Brewery's tasting room, Saunderskill Farms, Ravenwood, and more! Car is necessary, although from NYC there a bus that goes to new paltz and from there you would be able to take a taxi. There are local car services, including Uber, available but may take a LOT longer to arrive than in the city.
