A lush 28 acre organic farm, 70km from Gurgaon, located at the foothills of the Aravalli...SATYA-JYOTI FARM is a haven for lovers of nature and the environment. This cottage, called INDIGO, has 2 large rooms and enough space for 6 adults. We provide farm grown organic vegetarian meals which are INCLUDED in the tariff. The space The INDIGO COTTAGE is a duplex cottage with its own bathroom and twin beds upstairs and a double bed and two single beds downstairs. The bathroom is on the ground floor. There is a terrace /balcony upstairs to sit out. We provide farm grown organic vegetarian meals which are INCLUDED in the tariff. Satya JYOTI is a real, working farm and not a hotel-like suburban farmhouse. We charge per person per night rates for any individual above the age of 5 so the total no. of guests should be correctly mentioned. Rooms are clean but rustic. Cottages/rooms have ceiling fans and desert coolers. Each cottage/room has 1 attached bathroom. Being an agricultural area, electricity supply is first given for running farm motors, hence domestic supply is erratic. We do have inverters in every room and also a generator so there will always be a light and fan working in every hut in case of a power cut. Please do take adequate supply of mosquito repellents for outdoor use. All cottages have mosquito proof mesh on the windows. Please keep the main door closed to keep out flying creature, specially 5-8pm. If you wish to swim in the bio pool then take your swim-wear. You must sign in the disclaimer register before swimming. Our farm hands speak Hindi and a limited amount of English. You can arrive anytime after noon and will need to leave by 10am on day of departure. Please take snacks and cold drinks etc as the nearest shop is a couple of kilometers away. We have only one refrigerator at the farm hence cooling space is limited. Please bring your own iceboxes along for anything you want chilled. Our water supply is the underground water which we filter for drinking. You may want carry some mineral water bottles...just in case. We do not have television or internet on the farm. If you have 3g or 4g then you may receive signal at some points. I generally take my laptop with movies to watch when I am there for a stretch. Consumption of alcohol is not a problem as long as guests remain responsible. There is scrabble, bingo etc to play with family. Some books as well...but you may want to take your own. Guest access Guest have access to all parts of the farm and can join in activities, depending on season. Planting, harvesting, compost making, learning bio dynamic practices, milking or just watching us at our tasks. Other things to note Guests are expected to respect the environment. No plastic disposal. Loud music and drunken behaviour not acceptable. We are part of the village and dressing with decorum while moving around and outside farm is respectful of local culture.
