Delightful Narrowboat in the Chiltern Hills AONB

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable 'Narrow Escape'. Take a break aboard our unique 50ft narrowboat, Narrow Escape, which offers a light and spacious interior. Providing comfortable accommodation for couples or families (up to 4 adults + 1 child), its perfect for those who are looking for relaxing, countryside getaway that's a little bit different! The space The outside area on the bow of the boat provides 2 bench seats where you can sit and enjoy the view. Entering through the double doors, you step down in to the bright and cosy lounge area, with a comfy reclining sofa and traditional coal burning stove. As well as a Samsung smart TV and DVD player, there is also a selection of books, games and DVDs available. The sofa converts into a double bed at night, using a quick and easy click-clack system. The lounge is open plan to the kitchen, which comes with a gas oven, grill and 4 hobs, as well as a good sized fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of storage. We provide all crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. The luxurious bathroom is located in the centre of the boat and benefits from a full size shower, a Thetford flush toilet and a table top sink. There is also more storage in both the undersink cupboard and a separate cupboard next to the shower. Moving through to the rear cabin, there is a cosy dining area with table and 2 bench seats. Further storage is provided in the full height cupboard and under the seats. At night this area can be converted into a second double bed, and a child's bunk bed can also be setup above. Guest access Guest are renting the entire boat to themselves. The boat is located within a marina which has security gated access and some shared facilities (e.g. wifi, launderette) with other marina residents. Other things to note - 1 medium dog or 2 small dogs are welcome to join you. Please advise when you book if you wish to bring your dog or contact us in advance regards any other pets. - All bedding is provided, but customers are asked to bring their own towels. - The boat runs on 12v electrics so any appliances you wish to bring should have a USB or car charger cable. Normal plug sockets are available in the shared recreation room of the marina. - Being a boat, the utilities will need to be managed by guests during their stay. This involves refilling the water tank and emptying the toilet cassette (in the on-site Elsan point). - The boat is offered as static accommodation only and cannot be removed from the marina.
