Waterfront Luxury Lakefield Cottage in Kawarthas

Our beloved Lake House is a place where you can kick back and relax, immerse in the tranquility of nature, while enjoying all the comforts of home. In the summer, enjoy a sweet beachfront with beautiful sunsets. The waterfront is shallow & safe for children. Enjoy a tandem kayak, a single kayak, stand-up paddle board, and fishing off our dock. For those who like to cook, our kitchen is fully stocked for you to be as creative as you like or keep it simple. It is truly our happy place. The space This house has been newly renovated taking the care to make the space as beautiful and comfortable as possible. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with Queen size beds and one with a Double bed. The room with a double bed is a Murphy bed and therefore also converts into an office space. These beds are all new and very comfortable. The rooms are all beautifully decorated with cozy comforters and blankets. Our bathroom is modern and hosts a Jacuzzi bathtub for those of you who like to soak and relax. We have a 55 inch smart TV over a cozy gas fireplace for cool evenings. Otherwise, you may want to enjoy a fire by the waterfront or trek into the woods. Our wrap-around patio has an outdoor, comfortable seating and eating area, with beautiful views of the lake. The property hosts a beautiful large lawn, fantastic in the summer for volleyball/badminton, bocce ball, soccer or whatever physical activities you desire. We are surrounded by mature trees which foster much privacy. There is a basement apartment that has a separate entrance with full-time tenants whom are a lovely, quiet young couple, Daniel and Katherine. You may occasionally see them taking their kayaks out onto the lake. Parking is shared with them (there is lots of parking space) but you have exclusive use of the main floor and outdoor areas (i.e. beachfront, dock and fire pit). Guest access The historic town of Lakefield is only a 5 minute drive away. You will LOVE what this town has to offer. There are several restaurants for dining in or taking out. There are also multiple grocery stores, a Home Hardware and an LCBO all within the town. Timmy's McD and Subway are also close by. Or for some healthy options enjoy the local Farmers market every Thursday in the summer months or visit "The Market" all year round. Check out a few of my favourite stores: 'Stuff' and the popular 'Tragically Hipp' (Clothing) and 'Sunblockers' if you need some fashionable swimwear. For those who would like a little extra self care, there are 2 Spas in town. And I promise you, all this while maintaining a quaint country village feel. Other things to note We have High Speed Internet -BELL FIBE, so it's super fast for those of you who need dependable WIFI to work here.
