Lakefront cozy cottage... The Cottage on Moon Lake

Quaint cottage overlooking Beurys Lake...or as my dad lovingly says..."its more like a shallow pond". For those who love a sweet quiet cottage get away with a gorgeous view, this is the perfect place for you. 2 Kayaks are here for your use...on my shallow, but pretty lake. One bathroom, with stand up shower, with washer/dryer, and yes, my water heater all are cozied up in there together. The space Exposed beams, stone fireplace, hardwood floors in beds and family room, large covered deck overlooking lake, firepit. Home has fast wifi and roku sticks, no cable. TV in family room and in one bedroom. Basic kitchen supplies, nothing crazy...you are in a rural little cottage. Gas grill, Mr Coffee, 2 kayaks, outdoor firepit, walking areas around lake. 2 Queen beds...one with lakeview. We provide K cups for the Keurig as well as firewood for the firepit. There is no cable on the tvs however there are Roku sticks for each. The driveway provides parking for up to 2 vehicles. It's a sweet, but small cottage, best 4 max folks. Bedroom doors do not lock, old time weird accordion things. Other oddities of this old girl...toilet a bit wobbly, along with vanity. You will see geese, ducks, occasional bald eagle (binoculars provided), muskrats, mink, turtles and be serenaded by many crickets and frogs in the evening hours. Catch & release fishing. There are a bunch of bass, suckers, and sunfish - all sizes, appearing along the lake edge now that it is getting a bit warmer. Although the home is situated in a relatively rural area, there are still many things to do. Yuengling & Son, Inc. brewery, museum & gift shop - Pioneer Tunnel coal mine - Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - Locust Lake State Park & Campground - State Game Lands #106 - Appalachian Trail hiking - Famous Reading Outdoors ATV Park & Trails - Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area - Rausch Creek Off Road Park Restaurants we recommend: - 901 BBQ - Loduca's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria - Shade Mountain Winery & Vineyard - Vito's Coal Fired Pizza - The Little Brown Barrel - Whistlers American Bistro Grocery Shopping/Quick Grab Items Nearby: - Kenny Stehr and Sons Farmers Market - Turkey Hill - Sunoco - Boyers Food Market - Aldi Guest access Entire home If you need a larger cottage, I also have another listing across the lake called The Boat House! Other things to note Occasionally, the lake is lowered for maintenance or before a large storm to prevent flooding. While I realize this is not ideal for someone coming to a lakefront property, I have really have no control. I appreciate your understanding during these rare times.
