L'Chateau Rondeau Beautiful, hidden home in a wooded area nestled in the quaint town of Lakeside, Oregon. Next to a quiet, private air strip. House is surrounded by trees with a private driveway. Walking distance to the sand dunes, McKay's grocery store, and North Tenmile Lake. Short drive to several beaches, lighthouses, Lake Marie, candy factories, wineries, museums, zoos, restaurants. Parking limited to 2 trucks + 2 trailers. No travel trailers. The space 2 Bedrooms and a loft - 2 Bathrooms - Sleeps up to 10, BUT keep in mind that our normal max guest limit is 8 (if you have a party larger than 8 please inquire before booking AND refer to the information* below) We have WiFi, and a TV in the living space!! Please note that we do NOT have cable- however, there should be some DVDs available in the living room. Also, if you have your own Netflix or Hulu account, you're more than welcome to connect to the WiFi and use your streaming service to watch TV / movies. Sleeps: 8 people - 5 total beds (beds can comfortably fit up to 10 people, but please inquire FIRST about parties larger than 8*) Bedrooms: 2 with closing door and a lock, 1 open loft Bathrooms: 2 Pets: NO Smoking: NO Parties: NO Memory foam mattresses in every room with memory foam pillows. Washer and dryer available for use. *Our guest limit for this listing is set to 8. We usually don't allow more than 8 people to stay in the home, HOWEVER, if you have a large family and are looking for a space that can accommodate a few more than 8 people- you may contact us via Airbnb message to inquire about whether or not we will accommodate your party of 8+ people. Not every reservation that exceeds 8 guests is guaranteed to be accepted; it all depends on the circumstance and whether we choose to allow 8+ at that time or not. PLEASE NOTE: due to 8 being our usual guest limit, if we choose to allow your party of more than 8 people, there will be an "extra guest" fee added to your reservation PER NIGHT booked for EACH GUEST that exceeds the maximum limit of 8. ~ **DISCLAIMER: the house is suitable for children, as we have had people of all ages stay in the home several times before. However, young children must have adult supervision while upstairs AT ALL TIMES because of the gaps in the railing. Be careful walking up the spiral staircase, hold on to the railing at all times, and avoid running while climbing up & down the stairs or moving around on the top floor.** ***DISCLAIMER: there are security cameras on premises for your security and protection. They are placed around the exterior of the property and ONLY point towards the outside of the house.*** Neighbors our other Airbnb property, L'Chateau Rondeau Mobile. Guest access Guests may use the entire house (with the exception of one downstairs closet) and outside area for their enjoyment. ~ You are free to use the large parking areas for all of your vehicles and trailers for bringing "toys" for the dunes. The dunes are within a short drive to the property! **If you have any ATVs or other related toys that you’re bringing with you, keep in mind that ALL toys (ATVs, UTVs, quads, dirt bikes, etc) MUST be trailered to the dunes. It is illegal and against city law to ride them directly on city streets or anywhere other than the designated areas at the sand dunes. In the event that someone catches you and reports you to the mayor, any fines from the city that come as a result of this will be charged to your party.** ~ We are located right next to the air strip. Please note that guests must not cross over the fence to the air strip. Because of the size of the planes, you cannot hear them when they land so doing so is extremely dangerous. Please make sure your children, if playing outside, do not walk or play in the air strip. Other things to note You MUST be courteous and respectful of our neighbors!! Absolutely no parties, no loud noise- and keep in mind quiet hours start at 10 pm every night. **QUIET HOURS: 10 pm - 6 am EVERY DAY** All guests must be sure to drive slowly when going back & forth on the driveway leading up to the property, and be respectful of our neighbors. We have had complaints before that our guests were driving on the neighbors' lawn and tearing it up- which is why we now inform all of our guests. ~ The town of Lakeside does have fire regulations / burn bans in effect. "No open fires / no burn barrels; all burning is prohibited" in Lakeside, OR. **Due to burn bans and liability issues, please keep in mind that you are NOT permitted to have a campfire, and you are NOT permitted to use the grill or do any kind of outdoor grilling at any time during your stay (no matter what kind of grill it is).** ~ Depending on what kind of cell service you have, you may or may not get good reception in / around the house. We do offer free WiFi, to accommodate for this. ~ If there is an issue with cleanliness or you notice something is broken upon arrival, you must notify the host RIGHT AWAY with photo proof. We take our guests’ comfort seriously and hold our housekeeping to the same standard. That being said, we cannot fix any issues we don’t know about. It is important you notify us right away so we can correct any mistakes promptly in order to give you an enjoyable stay. Depending on the severity of the issue, this will also help us determine a solution (if it can be resolved) and/or whether to issue a potential refund. If you wait until the end of / after your stay to tell us that something was wrong upon arrival, you will not receive any sort of refund. You must also notify us of issues as they arise during your stay, not wait until the last day / after checkout. ~ The home is located in a tiny town in a fairly rural setting nearby to sand dunes, forests, lakes, and ocean. This means that on occasion, we experience bugs. In particular, ants in the home (small black water ants, harmless, but can be a pest). We spray regularly, as well as set out ant bait in order to mitigate the problem. However we also need help from our guests to keep the ants away. We ask that you please do not leave food out open or unsealed. No food anywhere except the kitchen / dining room. Please try to keep the counters free of food, and keep the pantry food sealed whenever you’re not eating. This usually does the trick to keep them at bay, but, like anything, please notify us right away if they become a problem so that we can deal with it promptly.
