Horse & Flower Farm Barn Loft
Enjoy peace and quiet in the countryside surrounded by Stoner Creek. Old Bridge Farm is a horse farm and also the home of Blooms of Bourbon County which is a flower, fruit and vegetable grower utilizing organic growing practices. Our 100 year old tobacco barn has been converted into a stable with a large rustic loft above with all of the conveniences of home. We're off the beaten path on a very quiet road in the middle of horse country. Come...relax, escape, recharge. The space Guests will park at the barn and enter through the foyer and up the rustic stairway. The doorway allows guests to enter a 16' x 36' open dining and living room with hard wood floors and a vaulted ceiling with an original hay hoist from the 1940's. The main living area opens to a set of French doors with a deck providing seating overlooking much of the farm. To the right hand side of the apartment, guests will have two bedrooms to choose from, each overlooking a horse paddock and wooded area. The left hand side offers a full kitchen, bathroom with shower and an additional bedroom with a pastoral view. Coffee, tea, and bottled water provided. Guest access The full barn loft is yours. Kick back on the deck overlooking the farm or walk through the stables and visit with the horses and chickens. Take a stroll outside of the paddocks and tour the farm and gardens via a mowed path surrounding the property and Stoner Creek. A hammock and park bench are provided near the horses for relaxing or, if you'd prefer to be active, set up croquet in the side yard. Other things to note Please do not attempt to bring additional guests who are not on the reservation. All guests staying overnight will be charged for their stay. Many of our guests take day trips to the Red River Gorge for hiking or kayaking, horse farm tours, trail riding, bourbon distillery tours or to the Ark and Creation museum near Cincinnati. Others simply relax here on the farm. We currently have three dogs, all are friendly but may bark when you arrive. Please don’t allow them in the barn apartment during your stay. We also have two retired horses in the barn area and two younger horses out and about in the paddocks. Most of them have been dressage show horses and will come to the fence to greet you. We ask that you refrain from touching the horses unless you get the "all clear" from Cindy. Please do not open doors or gates to the stalls or paddocks. We have a rooster who crows on occasion in the morning, his name is CJ. We have a handy man here who can fix almost anything, so if a problem arises be sure to let us know.
