The Loft at New Morning Farms is your quiet getaway just a short scenic drive from adorable downtown Duvall, ample hiking & biking trails, mountains, the Snoqualmie Valley, and wineries. Whether in town for work or looking to get away, we look forward to making you feel at home. The space The Loft at New Morning Farms is a studio accommodation above the detached garage and shop. From the private entrance, a staircase leads up to an airy loft with broad windows and vaulted ceilings. The Loft has been thoughtfully set up to serve as a spacious suite for a couple or a cozy retreat for up to four persons. Aside from the primary queen bed, two smart, stacking twin beds can be used as a sofa or set up to sleep up to two additional guests. Guests are invited to make themselves at home by unpacking into the wardrobe, storing favorite snacks in the mini-fridge, and fixing coffee, tea, and cocoa in the coffee corner. We are delighted to offer a *full, farm breakfast* on weekends (a simple, but delicious breakfast is provided on weekdays). Far from a sterile hotel or bare bones B&B, the Loft has cozy reading nooks, a pleasant desk area, as well as a sitting area with TV, books and games to enjoy - that is, when you are not exploring the farm itself. *The Grounds* New Morning Farms is at once completely removed to the peace of nature and within a 10 minute drive of downtown Duvall or Carnation. Situated at the end of a winding rural road, the farm sits on a crest, airy and full of sunlight, while cocooned by tall trees. Year-round, guests are invited to explore the manicured ground, walk through the gardens, visit the animals, take in views (or a glass of wine) from the tree house, and explore the whimsical forest trails. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife! Since this is a working farm, guests have a good chance of seeing farm life in actions - preparing soil, planting, harvesting, feeding the animals. Similarly, guests must be prepared for the sounds and rhythms of a working farm - the gobble of a turkey, the tractor at work, the clanging of garden tools. Consider it part of the ambiance! *Surrounding Area* The Loft is in the perfect location for guests of all types: those looking to get into the outdoors have countless excellent hikes and bike trails as close as 5 minutes away, including the Snoqualmie River Trail. Those looking for a small-town getaway with all the amenities, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and culture will enjoy adorable Duvall, as well as tucked-away wineries beloved by locals! Tourists to the Snoqualmie Valley will find the Loft the perfect home-base for exploring everything from the Snoqualmie Falls to the Cascade Mountain summits. And those who just want to get away from it all can find everything they need for a restful retreat right on-site. Guest access The Loft is separate from the owner-occupied home, giving plenty of space and privacy. Once oriented by the hosts, guests are welcome to visit the animals, wander the wooded trails, explore the tree house, and relax on a private patio space. While we are happy to share our retreat with you, we do ask that you reasonably respect our privacy by avoiding entering the main home or garage/shop area. We promise to be reachable if you need us. Other things to note As noted above, we have lots of friends and family, and tend to host casual gatherings. Should your visit correspond with a small family gathering (for example), we would check in with you and make a considerable effort to ensure that your stay would not be adversely affected.
