Mira Bella North
Tiny Home (1 of 2 guest houses) on a private 13 acres in a small equestrian town. Away from the main house, so it is private, but not isolated. Ideal for 2 guests, but there is a pull-out sofa which could be comfortable for one more adult or a couple younger kids. (Some have mentioned it is not so comfy for grown-ups.) Not suitable for 4-legged travelers. (If dates you want are unavailable, search for Mira Bella South) I've included MANY photos so you can see exactly what the space is like :) Our property is protected from the roadway by a massive hedge, which blocks all viewing of our property from the street. When you come in the driveway, the Tiny Home is on the right. The pond with a flock of ducks is on one side, and a meadow on the other. The views are great on both sides. We have a horse, a mini-horse, two mini-cows, and three mini-donkeys which come to the fence wanting treats (which are provided) from guests. Ducks roam freely and also come around wanting treats. Behind the main house are roosters and peacocks. (The Tiny Home is two individual tiny homes connected by a 20' porch. The homes are very well-insulated, ensuring privacy for each unit.) Treats are provided for the meadow residents and the ducks and they will come around expecting those treats. There is parking next to the tiny home. Walking around the property is okay - my dogs will bark from inside the house but you are welcome to wander and explore. Just do not enter gated areas. No swimming. You wouldn't want to. It's like...eew. Catch & release fishing is allowed. I'm home most of the time in the daytime. In the morning, usually sleeping ;) Afternoons I'm home working around the house. Evenings is when I'm usually away, but never far. I'm always accessible if there is a need, and if I'm not around someone else can help. I like to come out and "say hi" and meet people, but often I never even see guests come or go. Lake Helen is awesome. It's called "The Gem of Florida" and it really is a gem. It's unlike most towns/cities around. Lake Helen has no red light, and horses have the right-of-way on the streets. It's a nice town to take a walk in in the evening, or to go running or biking. Here's the distance it is from things: 1 mi. to pizza, restaurant & gas station 2 mi. to I-4 4 mi. to grocery store, fast food, pharmacy & shopping 8 mi. to Walmart & Target 9 mi. to Blue Springs State Park 18 mi. to Daytona Raceway 20 mi. to Daytona airport 25 mi. to Sanford airport 44 mi. to Disney 53 mi. to Orlando airport HURRICANE SEASON I don't know what Airbnb's actual policy for cancellation due to hurricanes - but with me I can say if you cancel due to a hurricane I will refund you all of what Airbnb pays out to me for your stay. I don't know what they charge you on top of that, but I will at least refund you what I have received if you cancel due to hurricane. I mean. Come on. Who wants to come vacation in a hurricane? Or, I don't know, maybe some people would? But for those of you who aren't excited about falling trees, flooding, flying projectiles, no water, no electricity, no internet, excessive amounts of humidity and mosquitoes without air conditioning - I will refund you.
