If you like nature and animals, you will love this place ! The Happy House welcomes you on 2200 sq meters of flourished gardens, in a heaven of peace and quiet. The large mirror pool is safely equipped by an electrical rolling shutter : BEST SECURITY FOR KIDS The depth of 2 meters at it's center allows plongeons while the large steps able you to get softly into the water. The Happy House is ideal for those who love nature and animals. The hens will provide you with their fresh organic eggs. The space While staying in Bagnols-en-Forêt, you will enjoy the best of the Côte d'Azur : only 15 minutes away from the sand beaches but be spared from the crowd the heat and the traffic jams ! ON PROPERTY at your disposal : A large outdoor swimming pool with electrical pool shutter very easy to open and close. This ensures the BEST SECURITY FOR YOUNG CHILDREN !! Beautiful covered terrasse facing pool (with spacious table to accomodate 12 people ). Equiped with 2 powerfull electrical planchas for your grills of meat /fish or vegetables on the terrace. Large natural stone floors around the pool. The kitchen is facing the pool so that it is very convenient to watch you children bath while preparing the meals ;-)) In the garden at your disposal : a shaded pétanque area, table tennis, badminton game, saw, bicycles, children games, disposable football cage, deck beds to lounge around the pool... and a confortable outdoor salon. The lady hens are securely kept in the hen house with dog and fox proof fence to allow them to stroll around. They will grant you with fresh organic eggs in the morning and will be happy to reduce your garbage by recycling your eatable left overs ;-)) Please close the hens house door after your visits ! The garden is fenced but there is no gate. The access to the garden is secured with a small lockable fenced door. The "Happy House" is located at the very end of a private path which gives accès to only 2 houses. "The Happy House" is the second and last house at the end of the private path... so no passage near the house ! ;-) NEW for summer 2025 : the 3 upstairs bedrooms equipped with individual air conditioning (each with its own remote to control the temperature). However, if you do not wish to live with A/C, this is very easy at the "Happy House" !! All bedrooms are equipped with mosquito screens so that you can sleep with windows open and avoid to use chemical mosquito repellents. That said, Bagnols is at an altitude of 380 meters and benefits from a very pleasant soft breeze, which you will appreciate, especially on hot evening summers that can be unbreathable on the coast (there can be a difference of 4 to 5 degrees compared to the coast at night) ! Please specify number of guests. ie : number of couples, single adults, and ages of the various children. The quote you will receive will take into account the number of occupants of the house. Wifi internet access covering also the terrace and pool area, Smart cable TV allowing streaming from the various platforms (Netflix...). Plenty of table games, DVDs in all languages, CDs, books (in english and french) and lots of toys for children. Air conditioning in the dining and living room areas. The very discreet and friendly owners will be there to welcome you and will be happy to recommend hiking trips, restaurants and any other useful tips during your stay. They will come to clean the pool every couple of days (usually early in the morning or whenever is most convenient for you) You will not see them if you do not want to ! The house is composed of : 4 Bedrooms (one on garden floor), 2 full bathrooms (one on garden floor with large shower and bidet, the other on top floor with bathtub) 2 independant WC (one with sink on garden floor, the other upstairs) "The Happy House" is near everything ! A small supermarket open 7/7 with gas station is only 500 meters away. The village is only a two minutes car ride away and can be accessed by bicycle (however this is a much longer journey of 20/30 minutes avoiding the main road). There you will find two bakeries, some restaurants, bars, a take away delicatessen, pizza delivery service, a small open air market, a chemist, doctors, nurses, the school. The Hyper-markets are at 10 minutes car ride (SuperU, Intermarché, Leclerc). But at the same time we are in a charming environment in the middle of nature with a direct access to the hiking or horse riding paths. If you need to use the bicycles, please specify this upon making your reservation so that we can ensure that they are all in « good to go » condition when you arrive. We have implanted the house so that it would be away from the eyes of the neighbors (only one house is close to ours, but it has no view over the garden or pool). The pool is surrounded by nature, with flowers blooming all year round. In Bagnols-en-Forêt you will find an organic producer of vegetables. In a "Marché Paysan" (gathering of local farmers), located only 10 minutes car ride from here, you will be able to purchase organic meat, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, wine, olive oil, honey, flowers... Céline et Jean-Jacques Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the property and no one else will be staying during their stay. They will have the exclusive use of the pool and garden. HOUSE LAYOUT: The ground floor : Entrance hall, dining room (table for 12) giving direct access to the garden. Living room with large angle sofa, independent kitchen with eating space for 4. Kitchen with direct access to beautiful covered terrasse of 20m2 facing the pool. The covered terrasse is equipped with table for 8 seatings. A small corridor goes from the entrance hall to the ground floor : - One bedroom with a double king size bed (160x190) Separate bathroom with large shower (140x90), a sink and a bidet, Independent WC with sink. On the first floor : 3 bedrooms, one independent WC, one bathroom with angle bath and a sink. The three upstairs bedrooms are equipped like this : - one room with a double king size bed (180x200), - one room with twin beds plus a drawer bed 3x(80x190), this room can accommodate 2 to 3 children (but then there is no more space for playing and the 3 beds are side by side), or the 2 twin beds car be made into one large king bed of 160x190 and can accommodate a couple. - The fourth bedroom has a queen bed of 140x190 + one single bed (90x200) Other things to note You will have exclusive use of the pool and property. House Rules for a Peaceful Stay : To respect the tranquility of the neighborhood, please avoid loud shouting in the pool during the day and opt for quiet activities after 10 PM. The pool remains accessible at any time, including after 10 PM, as long as it is used quietly. This extends to the outside dining space as you are staying in an area where people sleep with their windows open at night ! Please remember to extinguish outdoor lights before going to bed (pool & garden lights) Please respect the property’s animals and avoid sudden noises or movements near them. Always remember to close the doors to the chicken coop. Bicycles and Local Discoveries A few bicycles are available for your use. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to use them, so we can ensure they are in good working order before and after your stay. We would be delighted to introduce you to the property, the neighborhood, and our beautiful region! While we are very discreet and you won’t see us unless you wish, we love to share and exchange. Feel free to ask us for recommendations—hikes, excursions, visits, restaurants, and unique spots when we come on site to clean the pool. Pets and Practical Information Pets are welcome, but prior agreement is required before booking to ensure they get along with the rest of the household. Please take care of the family furniture. Do not enter the house in wet swimsuits ! Please use the clotheslines for wet towels and avoid placing them on wooden or iron furniture (chairs, railings, armchairs, or tables) as this can leave marks. Please close doors and windows when using the air conditioning. We thank you for your help and understanding.
