Manoir de la Fleur de Lys, located in the heart of the medieval village of Saint-Haon-le-Châtel, classified as a “village of character,” offers the tranquility and serenity of a 16th-century house renovated with modern comforts. This independent apartment of 110 m2 within the Manor, available for 4 people, ideal for a family, consists of a spacious living room with dining and living room area, from which overlooks an open kitchen. Equipped with a double bed 160 x 200 in one bedroom and two single beds 90 x 200 in another bedroom, a bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower. The two rooms can communicate if desired thanks to the opening of a small old window. This quiet place allows you to settle down, relax and enjoy a few days of the great outdoors in the surrounding countryside with varied landscapes. Wifi access Linens and linen are provided. Access to the swimming pool is separate, on the terraced garden located opposite the apartment (in the summer season), accessible by a small outdoor path. You will stay in a place listed as a Historic Monument, which has been restored with great care, respecting its character and history. The interior has undergone a particularly meticulous renovation, using old and delicate materials such as lime, as well as high-quality finishes and elements, some of which are fragile. We are, of course, happy to welcome families; we simply hope that the children staying here are accustomed to behaving calmly and carefully in an interior that requires a certain level of care. Guest access Check-in from 5:00 PM Check-out before 10:00 AM. The manor is composed of two levels. The main access to the accommodation is via the tower, which allows you to enter the accommodation on the ground floor. The first floor: reserved for the owners We are available as much as possible during our presence to help or advise you if necessary. During your stay, in our absence, everything is organized to maintain a presence. Car parking around the house (communal space) is subject to availability. A large village car park 2 minutes above the house, near the sports and tennis stadium, always has available spaces. You can therefore unload your car in front of the house when you arrive and then park in this parking lot. To access it, return to the road until the stop then go up to the right. Go to the village. Pass by the restaurant La Bastide de Châtel and then the school. Park in the second parking lot below the stadium: closer to the house Electric car charging station: available in the upper parking lot. Vacate the spot once the recharging is complete. Instructions for Fraicheur Maison With the hot weather this summer, it is imperative to keep the house cool for the well-being of all. 🌙 At night: enjoy the coolness Open the windows wide as soon as the outside temperature drops below that of the house, ideally around 4-5 AM. Do not open too early! Create a draft by opening the windows in each room (as well as the 2 small windows on the staircase) In the early morning, around 7:00–7:30 AM, close all the windows before the outside temperature rises. ☀️ During the day: above all, do not let the sun in Close the yellow living room curtain as soon as the sun hits the window. Close the front door properly when coming and going; it is very exposed to the sun. The house has thick walls, which is a real advantage because it provides excellent thermal mass.
