Traditional Quercy house and garden in beautiful St Sulpice sour Cele a stunning village on the banks of the river Cele nestled beneath the Causse du Quercy cliffs, Lot, SW France. Ideal walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, swimming. sleeps 4 comfortably Saturday check in (other days possible ) 7 night minimum stay tourist tax is payable(4 % of total) will be invoiced as additional payment via the Resolution Centre. The space The house and garden are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with a full size electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, refrigerator/ freezer and dishwasher. The dining room has a table and two benches, a fireplace and stove. In the sitting room is a sofa, two armchairs, a futon double sofa/bed, and a wood burning stove. 2 bedrooms upstairs. king size bed and 2 single beds . 2 bathrooms one with bath, shower, toilet other basin and toilet. Velux windows in both bathrooms. Garden furniture, table, chairs, loungers, bbq & bicycles are stored in the ground floor basement. Access is easy to the swimming river and the municipal swimming pool. We ask that you take care of the bicycles, bbq, the outdoor furniture by leaving them in good condition. Any damage must be mentioned to us and breakages to crockery etc. Please repair any punctures and keep the tyres inflated. There are no cycle helmets; there is one combination bike lock. Guest access the entire house is available Other things to note The house is an old stone house with oak beams. We have over the years maintained and renovated the house while keeping its character. The area is of outstanding natural beauty in la region de l'occitanie. Well marked foot/cycle/horse riding paths are abundant. The pilgrimage walk GR 65, St Jacques de Compestelle passes through the village. Wonderful morning & evening markets are in neighbouring villages & towns. Organic local produce available in nearby village. Rocamadour, St Cirq Lapopie, Cahors, Figeac are within striking distance. Rock climbing on the limestone cliffs is popular at La Balme also nearby is Le Ressel a vast underwater cave. Wildlife is plentiful, flora and fauna, red squirrels, wild pigs, otters, kingfishers, butterflies and so many wild orchids in spring! Canoes can be hired from Marcilhac sur Cele transport included. Highly recommended. There is also a Via Ferrata nearby in Cabrerets maps and local interest information available in the house. Much more information is available from the tourist office in Cajarc, the mayors office in St Sulpice and the larger tourist office in Figeac. Wifi is usually available outside the Mairie in the village and until 12.30 pm from Marcilhac post office, Cajarc and Figeac tourist office and PMU cafe/bar/restaurant in Cajarc. 4G signal is excellent We have renovated the house in the last few years and have not had the opportunity to upload the new photographs. There are Capricorne Beetles in the house. We have treated the house with the safest possible insecticide to hopefully get rid of them. You will not see these beetles but you may hear them upstairs night and day munching on the oak. The beetles are 100% harmless to humans .
