This sunny West Town 2BR is a perfect place to call home after a day of exploring Chicago. Located on the top floor of a 3rd floor walk-up on a quiet residential street, just a few blocks away from bars, shops and restaurants. The space This apt is on the 3rd floor in the rear of building away from the street, so incredibly quiet and peaceful with tons of natural sunlight. High ceilings, large windows, vintage furnishings, open floor plan with two bedrooms, one off the kitchen with a twin bed and 2nd bedroom off of the living room with a queen bed. The apt can fit up to 3 people with 2 on the queen and 1 on the twin. There is an air mattress that fits in either twin room or living room should you need it. ***NOTE: This is a prewar building, circa 1910 construction. Recent renovations have taken place, but the building and apt DO maintain their "vintage charm". Please advise if you are used to hotel stays or modern apartments. Think bicycle wheel pot-holder instead of stainless steel appliances :) I'm a big traveler and collector of treasures, so you will find the apt decorated with an eclectic array of vintage furnishings! A decorative Victorian couch, a lobster pot for a coffee table, a ukulele for your use, and a sturdy record player with a fast-growing collection of records (particular exciting for the folk and classic rock fan) There is a small back porch (accessible by a low window) that leads down to a back patio and garden, complete with fire pit AND grill. Perfect in the summertime. Close to museums, Loop (15 min bus ride, 1 hr walk) 15 min walk to Blue Line. In a quiet neighborhood nook of West Town, great bars, restaurants, public library, vintage shops, pie place, etc all within a 5 minute walk. And Union Park which hosts the Pitchfork Festival is a 15 min walk away! Perfect for an artistic retreat, bookish getaway, or a comfy crash pad after a day exploring Chicago architecture! Wifi Internet, plenty of free street parking, good coffee, host on hand by cell should you need anything! Guest access The entire apt is yours. The kitchen is well-stocked with amenities and you are welcome to use anything you require to make your stay more pleasant. The backyard is shared by the building's 5 other tenants. Please defer to them if you want to use the backyard and be respectful of the other common areas (hallway, laundry room) Other things to note I've been hosting for 8 years and I am so happy to lend out my place to travelers and guests!
