Enjoy farmhouse decor and comfort while staying minutes away from charming downtown Newberg, and McMinnville. 20 miles from Portland, Our county is home to over 200 vineyards, with plenty of dining and outdoor adventure. The space In our unique space, you will experience rustic, farm life country living with all of the comforts of a modern space and a fully equipped kitchen. We are the 3rd owners of this historic house and purchased it from one of the families who homesteaded the mountains around Newberg. All of our bedrooms are furnished with memory foam mattresses and all natural fiber bedding (100% cotton and wool). We are a working farm and our practices include no-till and no spray (ever). We strive to mimic nature's natural systems and thus there is not perfect order in our system. Our growing areas are continuously being managed to reduce lawn and weeds (thus our plastic sheet or cardboard mulch). Since our property is a working farm, you will experience the natural wonders of nature (frogs croaking, crickets chirping, farm cats meowing, insect pollinators at work). We are glad to be available to answer any of your questions, but will otherwise give you your private space during your stay. You may see our family members working out on the farm or hears us come and go. We are currently only open to stays of 30 days of more and will complete an additional third-party screening and contracting process. Guest access Enjoy the very spacious fenced yard areas around the house, hot tub, gas fire pit, front porch, fully-equipped kitchen and deck/patio. Feel free to use any of the ingredients in our kitchen. We do live here when we are not hosting guests, but offer all of our cooking ingredients for your use while here. We love to cook and think you will enjoy our farmhouse kitchen for the same. Please ask permission and ask us to accompany you before entering farm areas outside of the gated yard, which are clearly marked. There is laundry available in a space that is shared with our otherwise self-contained basement apartment. Other things to note Our house is most appropriate for adults or families with kids over age 6. We are not child proof and there are lots of stairs to navigate. We are currently only open to stays of 30 days of more and will complete an additional third-party screening process and written agreement outside of Airbnb.
