The space Designed with relaxation in mind, this Peak District hideaway combines rustic charm with luxury touches. The interior boasts top-spec fittings and stylish décor throughout, including a cosy log burning stove, perfect for snuggling up on cooler evenings. The spacious king-size bed is dressed in beautiful bed linen for the perfect night’s sleep. A sleek, modern en-suite bathroom features a shower big enough for two and indulgently soft Egyptian cotton bath sheets. For those quiet moments, the private garden offers a peaceful sanctuary. Enjoy al fresco dining with panoramic views or unwind in the highlight of your stay — a rustic Japanese whirlpool bath, made from cedar wood. This eco-friendly bath uses pure, chemical-free water, refreshed every time you use it — the ultimate outdoor soak under the stars. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a generous hamper of milk, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, tea, coffee, and sugar. You’ll get ground coffee too. For stays of two or more nights, we’ll also provide locally sourced eggs and bacon. Guest access There is ample free parking directly outside the front door. Step outside the cottage and onto the Limestone Way, with direct access to endless walking trails. Discover Robin Hood’s Stride, Stanton Moor, and charming local villages, all within easy reach. We’ve created a special walking route just for our guests — details can be found inside the cottage. Other things to note Our fantastic location in Derbyshire puts you on the doorstep of the Chatsworth House Estate and Haddon Hall, with the charming market towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne, and Buxton just a short 10–15-minute drive away. Whether you're into hiking, history, or simply soaking up the countryside, there’s plenty to explore. Although the property is not listed as accepting dogs, we will consider a small, well-behaved neutered dog that is non shedding. Dogs must be in crates at night, must not be left unattended and must be on a lead at all times. Contact us prior to booking with your dog’s details. Although the cottage is perfect for adult-getaways, we do accept babies and can provide a travel cot. For children over the age of ten, we can provide a put a up bed. Please ask for more details.
