Historic and charming 3-bedroom country cottage

Come and try an original historic cottage! This is the perfect retreat for couples, families, or friends, warm with original features retained. The house is fully self-contained, with a kitchen/diner and good-sized modern bathroom. Downstairs is the main bedroom with a King-sized bed. Up the attic ladder and under the steeply pitched original roof are two further attic bedrooms, one has a double bed and the other has two single beds (better for children). The space Built in the 1860s and later reclad, insulated and double glazed, Settlers Cottage is a great example of an early "prefab" design. It was shipped over in pieces on a barge from Port Chalmers originally. Cosy and warm it has all you need including a new heat pump and new electric blankets on double and King beds, plus hotties for the single beds. There is a kitchen with all you need, however no full stove (but a toaster oven, microwave and two element cooktop are provided). Guests love the history and sense of stepping back in time Settlers Cottage provides. The second story with two additional bedrooms ( one double bed and two single beds) is accessed via a commercially bought attic ladder. Suitable for agile guests. Children require supervision under ten years. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TWO COTTAGE BEDROOMS (DOUBLE AND TWO SINGLE BEDROOMS) ARE ONLY ACCESSABLE VIA A LOFT LADDER WHICH MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE (SEE PHOTO)
