Mid-nineteenth century farmhouse with four upstairs bedrooms that share a full bathroom with clawfoot tub. Main floor consists of a mud/game room with surrounding windows, second full bathroom with standing shower and laundry, living room with working woodstove and Smart TV, dining room with large table that seats eight and huge picture windows featuring the mountain views, kitchen, and back office to allow work from home. There is a covered back porch that faces the nearby stream, so you can enjoy the sounds of nature while sitting in a rocking chair. Parking is available in front of the house. In the winter months, AWD or 4WD is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. The nearest small town is ten minutes away, and good for basic essentials. The larger town of Margaretville is less than twenty minutes away and has a large supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy, coffee shop, gourmet food shops and more. Co-Host will be available if needed. Halcott is a small town in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, accessible only by one road that dead-ends at Bearpen Trail. It's a quiet area, travelled only by those who live here, and yet it's close enough to larger towns for all your shopping needs. You must have a car to access this property. In the winter, 4WD or AWD is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. NO CATS. Dogs are subject to Host approval and a $75 pet cleaning fee, per dog.
