Enjoying gorgeous mountain top sunrises and valley sunsets sitting on the covered porch is absolutely amazing. Our house is suitable for a mountain getaway for up to six guests. Tons of places to visit and things to do, skiing, winter sports, App State, wineries, and unique restaurants! Enjoy the views over our 6 acre farm which sits above the valley. Our community is built on family and farm land therefore you should expect to hear and see barking dogs, roosters crowing. cattle grazing and horses loving the land. No matter the season, you can enjoy the wildlife such as deer and turkeys, squirrels and birds most all year round. Hiking, shopping, local restaurants, snow skiing , tubing, and horseback trail rides are among a few things to do while staying in the high country …Check out the brochure trays in the house for more information. We email restaurant suggestions and things to do prior to your arrival. *Ring cameras are located above the garage door, on the corner of the front porch, and on the back door with views of the front porch, front yard/pasture, driveway, and backdoor only and the cameras do not point to any interior spaces. Video is constantly recording with the sound disabled. *Plow service/snow removal is not available in this area during November through April. We highly recommend all guest to come prepared with a four wheel or All wheel drive during Nov thru April. For any reason you are unable to get up our driveway, There is a place to park at the bottom of the driveway across the street where cars are safe and you can safely walk up the driveway if needed. There is plenty of parking at the house. Getting around to town and area attractions requires personal transportation. A Peace of Heaven is located minutes from Boone and located in a quiet on a quiet countryside in "Sugar Grove" Where you will find rolling hills, farm land, streams and rivers. We are a small community where everyone know's each other for miles around with a population of 2020 folks. Cove Creek Store is just around the corner and they have just about everything under the sun! From basic grocery items to homemade speciality deserts, cheeses, butter, eggs and don't forget to order from their country grill where breaskfast and lunch are served all day! This is also the closest gas station beside driving back towards boone which is approx 5 miles. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Boone is the home of Appalachian State University. The town is named for famous American pioneer and explorer Daniel Boone, and every summer, other than 2020, from 1952 has hosted an outdoor amphitheater drama, Horn in the West, portraying the British settlement of the area during the American Revolutionary War and featuring the contributions of its namesake. It is the largest community and the economic hub of the seven-county region of Western North Carolina known as the High Country. Personal transportation is required. It is not recommended to walk from to any of the local attractions. Car, motorcycle, truck, etc. is necessary. No public transportation available in this area. Uber may not be available or may be limited. House Rules: *No extra guests (maximum six) permitted *5 mph speed limit on the gravel driveway *We are a smoke-free house. No smoking inside the house. *All guests must be registered. Names of all guests up to four plus two extra guests for a total of six is required at time of booking. *Wind: If you use the rocking chairs, please leave them turned down after use and when you leave, they will blow away!!! *Dishwasher: There is a dishwasher in the kitchen. Please put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn on before you leave for the cleaning staff to empty when they arrive *Trash: Please put bagged trash in brown trash can near garage.
