It sits on the front terrace, with two sets of patio doors opening onto it from the large living room, alongside the outdoor seating and BBQ area. It is prepared freshly for every stay and is ready and waiting at a perfect 40 degrees Celsius when you arrive. The pool is a separate thing and we want to be clear about how it works so there are no surprises. It is a full-sized, heated indoor swimming pool with a Jacuzzi and it is genuinely private. No members of the public use it at any time and while you are in there it is yours alone. What it is not is on site and it is not unlimited access. The pool is next door to the cottage, a short walk from the door and it runs on pre-booked hourly slots between 8am and 8pm. Your stay includes one complimentary hour, and two hours on weekend bookings. Slots can be flexed to suit you and Saturdays have two-hour blocks held exclusively for Stone Cottage. If you would like more time in there, extra hours are available at a renegotiated special rate of £30 an hour, subject to availability. Availability wise it’s generally very good with plenty of slots available. To keep things simple and avoid booking clashes, we now manage all pool slot bookings directly for our guests, so please don't book the pool independently. If you have already booked something, send us the date, time and the name it is under so we can check it against the diary. There is a beautiful south-facing back garden with two patios, comfortable cushioned seating, landscaped planting and a children's play area including swings, slides and sunken trampoline, We are in an idyllic countryside village, so we do ask for peaceful enjoyment of the outside spaces, particularly in the evening.
