Enjoy horseshoes on the great lawn, the fire pit and grill by the pool, or a dip in the pool or hot tub. Please note, pool is not heated. Heating of the pool incurs an additional fee. The space Roblar Farm estate is a 6,600 square foot classic Santa Ynez ranch home — a treasure for an extended family and/or friends to enjoy. The open floor plan of the primary living space is exceptional. Between the sheer size of the room and the large, vaulted ceilings, it’s easy to see how a room like this could tend towards grandiose. Instead, the designers of Roblar Farm have carefully curated a variety of intimate spaces within this magnificent room. A tufted, blue velvet setteé built in to dark wood, which wraps around the room to create the full size (seats 10) wet bar, is evocative of a traditional, yet opulent, old-west tavern. This tavern feel is further illustrated in the decor: iron and wood cocktail tables fill the space between the bar and the velvet setteé while cowhide rugs, sumptuous leather love seats, and kilim accents make up the space around the two separate fireplaces. Old world stops here though, as the 72-inch flat screen TV and Airplay music system with surround sound are state of the art. To top it off, where the wall meets the ceiling, a hand painted mural of the area, from Santa Barbara to the Gaviota Pass to downtown Santa Ynez, wraps the room. Each of the five bedrooms has its own unique charm. The grand master bedroom is entered through a private sitting room with a fireplace and its en suite bathroom is quite luxurious with dual vanities, a soaking tub and shower with body jets. The two junior master bedrooms each have king size beds and en suite bathrooms while a queen size Murphy bed transforms the library into a timeless sleeping quarters equipped with a writing desk, fireplace, and a wall of hardcover books. In a separate wing, a bedroom with two twin beds appears apropos for kids — or adults — whispering late into the night. Between the formal dining room and the large kitchen overlooking the alfresco dining tables and pool, the home is suitable for long gatherings with loved ones over home-cooked meals. This ranch house is a ranch, through and through. Outside, two horseshoe pits line the driveway, a large, farmed garden sits out back, and the patio view overlooks the large pool, spa, and former horse pastures. Roblar Farm is the ideal place to settle in to the slow, country lifestyle, while enjoying top of the line amenities surrounded by family and friends. Ask us about our other homes on-site!
