We're a block from the Trolley Trail, a 6 mile north/south bike path connecting to Portland, Oregon City and beyond. 15-20 min drive to Portland or take the MAX light rail in. Sweet coffeehouse, blues bar, boutique, school, & offices nearby. This home offers funky charm in a pleasant and convenient spot. Modest updated kitchen and 1.5 baths. Auto discount rate for 30+ stays. Nice light and a big back yard. One bedroom is on the main and one is upstairs. Both baths are on the main floor. We are adjacent to a commercial office building on one side, and a charming old bungalow (great neighbors) and big tree on the other side. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and also street parking. The whole house and back yard. Easy parking in the driveway for two guests. Vinyl Tap, a neighborhood blues bar across the street often has live music and has delicious food options too. Bike or walk the Trolley Trail or drive 10 minutes to downtown Milwaukie for a big farmer's market, cafes, food cart pod, First Friday events, and Dark Horse comics, or take a 10 minute drive to Sellwood for New Seasons organic groceries, antique stores, and a riverfront dog park and picnic area. The house is about 1.5 miles from the Orange Line light rail line which connects to downtown, Portland State University, The Pearl, and Powell's Books. Portland Streetcar also runs a loop around the inner city. Or take a walk to Elk Rock Island or the Oak Grove boat ramp a few blocks from the house. Cyclist's delight. The Trolley Trail connects bicyclists and pedestrians with MAX light rail, 1.5 miles away, and with bikeways to Portland and Oregon City and The Intertwine. There's a north south bus two blocks away. Light rail is 1.5 miles away and takes you to downtown Portland. Air conditioning is a window a/c in upstairs bedroom only, not whole house. If you travel with pets, please let us know up front. Pets are usually welcome but we like to ask a few questions first. If you are bringing a pet please contact me first with description and I'll give you our pet policy. We charge a $45 pet fee per pet (with a limit of two pets) which will have to be added on to your rental fee. We ask that you bring clean sheets for your dog to lay on if they are allowed on furniture or bedding.
