Description
Welcome to Applewood (aka Old Hospital Lawn), a recent-ish (2013), purpose-built community of simple, high-specification 'eco-homes'. Combined warmth and design creates a cosy, homely feel in a friendly, safe neighbourhood. Creative artists first and foremost, 'we' being currently Robert (co-parents of our teenage son, Daniel). I am gay, relaxed, open, the house is not 'social media tweaked' ready: homely and WYSIWYG... Nicole goes away often for work, so we are sharing our space with you. The space Available is a our lovely en-suite, currently my co-parent's bedroom, and Nicole is away for three months abroad , hence renting it out. We've made it homely, over our seven years here, with our art, plants and some 'quirky' furnishings, which helps balance the simple lines of the house. Generally speaking, the kitchen can be available, but it's a live-in family kitchen, living room and other spaces are also mainly our family dens. Though if we all click, who knows! Guest access Open to chatting about it, kitchen could be available for light meal preparation. As for hanging out, I've found you cannot plan for that - if it happens, its really nice. No pressure though. Often we will be in the living room. If you feel happy to join us and it works for us too, then let's enjoy! During your stay I've found most guest prefer to stick to their room, and that's fine. The kitchen is available for use for light meals, making tea etc. Other things to note NB it's actually 50 Old Hospital Lawn. The postcode seems to default to that address and I've had issues on Google too. Note also, the room is upstairs, so alas, it's not wheelchair accessible. Some of the artwork is for sale, and I'm also a massage therapist, so you could add that to your menu (£45 for 45 mins - we can talk when you're here if that's of interest) The room could be shared - we had a couple in it once.
