Description

North Valley Guest House located along the Rio Grande green belt. Kick back & relax in this calm, stylish space. Small one-bedroom studio near Bachechi Open Space, Rio Grande Valley State Park, and walking trails. Only 3.3 mile bike ride to International Balloon Fiesta Park. Quick Paseo & Alameda access. Acequia and river access along the Rio Grande river. Close to Los Ranchos Farmer’s Market, wine tastings, local breweries, and restaurants. The space Enjoy nature and quiet in this guest house which offers 325 square feet on the ground level and 120 feet in the loft. One of the great perks about this property is its proximity to Bachechi Open Space and nearby Acequias! Enjoy a quiet walk or bike ride on the tree-lined paths along the water. The casita is located on the same lot as the homeowners house and features a concrete patio with outdoor table and 4 chairs. It is located in a very private and safe area, surrounded by large Cottonwood Trees. This is country living in the heart of the city! There is a kitchenette which offers a sink, refrigerator with freezer, microwave and counter space. There is a space-saving desk with two stools perfect for dining or working. The following items are included in the kitchenette: - 3 plates - 3 bowls - 3 coffee/tea mugs - 4 wine glasses - Standard utensils including forks, knives, and spoons - Black and Decker Single Brew personal coffee maker which includes a permanent filter to reduce paper landfill waste. - There is no oven/stove in the unit due to zoning restrictions. However, there is a Bella single hot plate and a crock pot. Please note: this is not a full kitchen. It is a kitchenette with the items listed above. If you need a specific item, please let me know and I will try to provide it for you. The casita offers the following amenities: - Full bathroom with a walk-in shower. - Queen bed and optional pull-out King sofa bed. - Split heating/air conditioning unit that you can set to your own preferred temperature! We also provide a portable heater if you would prefer to use that instead of the heating unit. Sometimes the heating unit makes noises in the winter so the portable heater provides a more white noise ambiance. - Curtains that can cover the French double-doors and blinds covering the window. - Loft area is accessible by a library ladder and offers a futon couch. The casita features minimalistic decor throughout. The artwork that is hung in the casita is from local artists. Please read all listing information, including the "Other details to note" section below. Guest access The neighborhood is located on a private road. Parking is private and behind a gate. The speed limit on the private road is 10 MPH. Please be sure to drive slowly down this road. Other things to note We strive to be eco-friendly and sustainable hosts by providing reusable products and reducing waste. Note: Everything that you will need to stay in this casita is located on the ground floor. This includes the kitchenette, bed, desk, and bathroom. There are no additional items on the ground floor of this casita. If you do choose to access the loft via the library ladder, please exercise extreme caution when climbing the ladder. The ladder maximum weight capacity is 200 pounds. Climb ladder at your own risk. Please monitor all children around the ladder and loft area. We are not responsible for any injuries as a result of the use of this ladder or loft area. Please note: our house and property uses well water. We do have a water filter and water softener system for the house but sometimes well water produces the smell of sulfur. This is normal for our area and normal for well water. If the smell of sulfur bothers you, please do not stay here. There are other Airbnbs in Albuquerque that have city water and sewer that will not have the smell of sulfur. The Cottonwood trees shed cotton in the late spring/early summer. Please do not plan to stay during that time if you are allergic to cotton. This casita offers country living in the heart of the city. This means dirt roads, dirt trails for walking and biking, and unique creatures including, but not limited to, owls, ducks, turtles, bunnies, lizards, frogs, insects etc. If you are wanting city living, this might not be what you are looking for. Airbnb is not a hotel. Each listing is unique and special in its own way. The benefit of traveling with Airbnb is the opportunity to enjoy different amenities in different parts of the city. You wouldn't get this same experience with a standard hotel. Please be sure to read the entire description, amenities, and rules so you know what to expect.
