The space The apartment has 1 OF THE VERY BEST VIEWS in the Old City! A FULL FRONTAL of the Atlantic Ocean from the terrace! CLOSEST you CAN get to living IN A LIGHTHOUSE ! All rooms have windows and great views. Bathroom window has view of part of metro area and east side of old city The rain forest Ël Yunque¨can also be seen in the distance from bathroom window. Kitchen window has view of “El Morro “ fort and coast line of Old San Juan. Living room window and door have great ocean views. You will hear Salsa music from a jukebox or occasional live salsa which happens every once and a while - more so around Christmas so if you are a light sleeper and go to bed early this is probably not your cup of tea. If , however you will be out late at nights during your stay or wouldn't mind the music anyway (which stops around 12 am ) then we see no problem. We do rent another apartment on the same floor which has a bedroom more isolated on the far east side of the condo . Less street noise-music. The approximate elevation of this apart is close to 100 ft above sea level including the hill on which the building is built and the height of the building itself. If you are not in shape this apart is not for you -again there are 67 steps to top ..The terrace has unobstructed views north , east and west as seen in the photos. Also has great views of the famous El Morro Fort and also "San Cristobal" Fort from terrace. . The apart is located on the 5th floor of a condo built in the 1930's in the art deco style. Only 3 blocks from the San Sebastian bars and restaurants.5 blocks from main Plaza + Old SJ's 2 supermatkets. NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS /VISITORS ALLOWED ,M THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR RENTING THIS APARTMENT FOR THE FESTIVAL AND THE REASON WHY THE APARTMENT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM INSTANT BOOKING IN ORDER THAT WE RECEIVE A WRITTEN AGREEMENT FROM OUR GUEST THAT NO ADDITIONAL VISITORS /GUESTS WILL BE IN THIS APARTMENT DURING THE SANSEBASTIAN FESTIVAL Kitchen has 4 burner stove ,fridge microwave . Bath towels and bottled water supplied. There is Wi FI NO TV . Several v good restaurants 3 to 5 blocks also offering takeout food for a memorable Old San Juan terrace meal . Guest access There was a trolley stop about 40 yards from front entrance to property . At present we are hoping the Municipality will start up service again. Escambron swimming beach area is about a 2 mile walk from entrance to property. The San Cristobal fort is about a 3 min walk. The Ël Morro¨fort around 8 to 10 minutes The nearest blue flag beach called "Escambron" is about a 3-4 minutes walk from /to San Juan Hilton and the bridge to the Condado section of town and the nearest casino. Other things to note This is a great apart for a painter ,photographer or writer. Its an apart for 1 or 2 persons - Its very rare to see a mosquito in the penthouse. There is a small outdoor restaurant /bar on the corner next to the condo which brings a lot of people and makes the area
