The apartment spans the full second story of what was once a 1900's saloon, 1920's confectionary shop, and a jewelers during the 1930's. Now a landmark, the neon glow of the Elgin Watches sign is the first thing travelers see when they turn onto Main Street en route to the Square. The space Your one-of-a-kind apartment in downtown Woodstock is situated next to the Waverly Ballroom, lively restaurants and bars, and sits across the street from the beloved Woodstock Movie Theater. Skylights illuminate the space during the day, and theatre marquee by night. The apartment features a full kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. Guests have a private entryway to the space for access at any time of day. Furry friends are also welcome! While we do not permit large parties within the apartment, you are welcome to host friends and family for a gathering or small, low-key events. Please let us know upon booking if you plan to have a gathering within the unit so we can ensure it is stocked appropriately. Guest access Your apartment is located on the Square, meaning everything "Woodstock" is no more than a few minutes of walking away. There is free street parking throughout the town, directly in front of the building during the day, and vehicles can also be parked for free overnight in any of the town's 24-hour lots. We recommend the lot behind the movie theater across the street for overnight parking, as it is no more than a 2 minute walk from the building. The apartment is also just down the street from the Metra train station making car-free travel to and from Chicago or O'Hare Airport a breeze. Other things to note Since your apartment is on the second floor, access requires climbing a full flight of stairs. There are several bars and restaurants on Main Street and events take place several times a year around the Woodstock Square and gazebo. Other establishments, and events on the Square, can become lively with music, seasonal events, and crowds during weekend evenings and nights.
