Home at the top of the Wonder Hills neighborhood provides quiet and rest while being only minutes away from vibrant uptown. We're located off US-50 and 2 minutes away from Richland Ave. and 5 minutes from OU. US-50 intersects with US-33 and OH-682 so we are easy to get to no matter where you are coming from. We take pride in providing a great space and hope it shows. The space The room is over 100 square feet with a queen bed for sleeping, a chair for sitting and resting, and a closet to store your things out of the way. There is also a small desk table should you need to get some work done. A TV with cable, Netflix, and other streaming services is provided for your entertainment. A private refrigerator, stocked with drinks, makes it convenient to store beverages and leftovers which can later be heated in the microwave. For a quick fix; we provide instant coffee, hot and cold purified water, and snack bars. And when you are ready to go out; the full length mirror will help you with looking your best. The room is lockable from the inside via a knob or the outside using a key to ensure your privacy. We are easy to get to and just off the major roads in the area. Our driveway is large and provides easy off-street parking. Guest access The bathroom is private and directly across the hall from the room. It features a high flow shower head with detachable wand and multiple settings. There is ceiling heater fan which is nice when taking a shower during the cooler months. You are welcome to use the furniture on the front porch if you want to get some fresh air. During your stay The front entrance is private to guests and the stairs to the upstairs room right inside the door. We respect your privacy, and you probably won't even see us during your stay, but we are available if needed. Other things to note Some other random things that might interest you -We strive to ensure a high standard of cleanliness. After every guest we change the sheets and towels and put them through a sanitary washing cycle (extra hot and long), clean the floors, and wipe down surfaces with disinfecting wipes. -We are flexible on the check-in and checkout times, but let us know if you plan to do so at non-standard times as we may have to coordinate with other guests. For example, if it would help you to have a later checkout time we may be able to accommodate you if we don't have another guest checking in that day. -WiFi is provided. -The TV has cable, Netflix,, Disney+ (and other services). If prompted, use the Airbnb profile. -The room has a refrigerator which is large enough to store drinks and leftovers. -The room has a microwave for the convenience of reheating leftovers. -The room has a hot and cold water dispenser containing purified water (reverse osmosis). The hot water is great for instant coffee or tea. -The room has a full length mirror. -The room has multiple USB chargers for devices. -There is a small desk that can accommodate a laptop. -If you would prefer not to share a bed with your guest, we will provide an air mattress on request. -We run a whole house humidifier during the heating season which increases comfort in a number of ways (ex. don't wake up with a sore throat) and provides health benefits. -For those with allergies; we have dogs but they do not go upstairs. The upstairs heating/cooling system is separate from the downstairs and has a filter rated for small particles such as allergens. Our long-term renter has allergies and she hasn't had any issues. -We figure you are town for a specific reason and will be busy, but if you have some free time check out our list of recommended places. We are minutes from two different lakes, tens of miles of walking and mountain biking trails, and a 15+ mile multi-use paved rail trail. For dinner, Purple Chopstix is 5 minutes away.
