A mid-century modern Litchfield Hills retreat that sits on a plateau in a bucolic and very private 6+ acres. Centrally located and a quick drive to many seasonal activities including sailing on Bantam Lake, hiking the endless trails of the Steep Rock Preservation and White Memorial Conservation Center, and skiing on Mohawk Mountain. Fine dining is minutes away at Arethusa a tavolo or the Mayflower Inn and the Litchfield Town Green and its many shops and eateries is only a 15 minute drive away. The space Our guest home has 2 full-sized bedrooms, large kitchen, open dining and living room with a wood burning fireplace, and large picture windows from which you can enjoy beautiful woodland views across the seasons. We hope you’ll find that our house is a peaceful retreat from where you can plan your country adventures! Whether that’s hiking, antiquing, visiting farms and markets or just sitting by the fire! Guest access You will have the entire home and its grounds to yourself. Other things to note You'll find a coffee station with drip and Keurig, supplied with local Krafted Brew Lab Coffee, in the full kitchen. There are many cafés, coffee shops and farm to table restaurants nearby to explore and if you prefer staying in, the kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials you’ll need. Reach out, if you’d like, and we can steer you to the best spots to find the choicest local, farm fresh fare. Our house is on the grounds just across a grove of trees. If you'd like, we can guide you to the best restaurants, farms, spas, hiking trails, gardens, antique stores, wineries, breweries, museums, events and pretty much anything there is to explore in the Litchfield Hills. Otherwise we'll let you be!
