Comfy 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage, complete with a kitchen, a gas grill, Wi-Fi, TV, W/D, outdoor fire pit & beautiful shared private trails leading to Indian Creek. Very relaxing and the perfect spot to make memories! Easy drive to Port Angeles's downtown restaurants, coffee houses and waterfront. Close to ONP, Lake Crescent and coastal beaches for hiking & kayaking. Sleeps up to 8 guests. The space The Inside Space: Our downstair's living space offers two informal conversational seating areas with cozy furnishings. One with a TV and "real flame" electric fireplace, a couch with chaise (turns into a sofa bed for extra sleeping arrangements), and a great selection of books and videos. There is also a writing desk in the corner for those who need to check an email or two. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The other seating area in the entrance of the cabin is a smaller gathering area with a loveseat, 2 accent chairs and propane stove. The dining table sits between the two living areas and is a perfect gathering spot for dinner or for playing a game of cards. Kitchen: While the kitchen may be smaller, you will find all you need for whipping up meals, including a 4-burner stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes/pots and pans. A coffee maker with filters and starter coffee is also provided. Bedrooms/Bathrooms: There is one bedroom on the main floor that has a queen bed, and both bathrooms are also on the main floor. The back bath has a walk-in shower and washer/dryer, while the hall bath is split between a shower room with walk in shower and 1/2 bath (sink and toilet). Upstairs: The upstairs is accessed by a steep and narrow set of stairs. --The second bedroom has a full-size bed and TV -- The third bedroom has 3 full-size beds, bean bag chairs and TV, great hangout for the older kids Heating: The cabin does not have central heating or a central thermostat. The cabin has an electric "real flame" fireplace in the living room, a gas stove in the front room and independent electric wall heaters in the hallway, downstairs bedroom and a unit at the top of the stairs between the two bedrooms. Outdoor Spaces: Outside, everyone can have fun exploring the community shared private trails to the creek, seating areas, and play set (located in the lawn in front of the main house). These outdoor areas are shared with guests who may be occupying the other vacation rentals on the property (the main house and the attached apartment). Enjoy the short hike down to the creek from the backyard trailhead. The backyard also has an outdoor fire pit for gathering (when burn bans are not in effect). The front patio has an outdoor living area with a propane fire table for year-round enjoyment. Exploring the area from the cottage: --10 Minutes to Lake Crescent (8.6 mi) --5 minutes to Elwha River, Madison Falls, and hiking along the river (3.3 mi) --15 minutes to downtown Port Angeles (9 mi) --18 minutes to Salt Creek Beach and Recreation Area (15 mi) --35 minutes to downtown Sequim (27 mi) --45 minutes from Hurricane Ridge (28 mi) --45 minutes to Sol Duc Hot Springs (31 mi) --1.5 hr to Hoh Rain Forest (78 mi) --1 hour to Rialto Beach (58 mi) --1.75 hour to Cape Flattery (79 mi) --1.75 hr to Shi-Shi Beach Trailhead (78 mi) Guest access This property has two vacation rental units on it along with the main home (where homeowners reside). The driveway leading to all three units is circular, with two designated parking spots in front of the cottage. The cottage is indicated by a green plaque with the name "Indian Creek" to the right of the front door. All outdoor spaces including the circle drive, the yards, the private trails to the creek, the gazebo, and seating areas are shared spaces with other guests and homeowners. Other things to note At the time of booking, you will be asked to share a preferred email for the rental agreement to be sent for your review and signature. All outdoor areas are shared with other guests. While children are welcome, we do require that an adult accompanies all children under the age of 12 when anywhere outside on the property, specifically when around the naturally occurring hazards of the creek, private trails, and outdoor fire pits. Please let us know if you require the travel crib and high chair. We provide clean sheets and baby pad for the crib but not blankets. Outdoor burning may be subject to County wide burn bans. Check to see if a burn ban is in effect during the dates of your stay before starting a fire. Wood bundles can be purchased at the Lower Elwha Food and Fuel. We do have an outdoor propane fire table on the front porch for use when there is a burn ban in place.
