Bright newly-refurbished room St Albans

Bright, quiet room with desk, wardrobe and a double bed in a peaceful and safe location at a walking distance from a beautiful park with a lake. Guests are welcome to make reasonable use of the kitchen, lounge and garden with due consideration to the hosts’ privacy. Guests are kindly reminded that the house is not a Hotel, a Bed & Breakfast or a Youth Hostel . Free car parking on the premise. Initial pick-up/final drop-off by car from/to the train station can be arranged if car is available. The space The room is bright with bed, desk & wardrobe. The ground floor is spacious and open-plan. You can look over the garden from the large French windows. Guest access You can use the main bathroom with a power shower right next to the room. Bath unavailable. The Summer, there is a table, chairs and rotisserie in the garden for guests to use. Towels and linens provided. You can use a washing machine and dryer during your stay. During your stay I should be available most of the time. I am Japanese and my husband is Swiss (French-speaking). Both of us have been in the UK for over 35 years, in the US for eight years and in South Korea for 7 years. So, we love to meet people from all over the world including, of course, from the UK. Thus, we prefer guests who share our desire to interact with us and each others. Other things to note As airbnb host we offer two private rooms for rent. The first-floor bathroom is only shared by guests from the other room, not the hosts. Our location is not convenient for guests who need to commute to central London frequently. The train station is at a 35-40-minute walk. Ditto for the University of Hertfordshire that is at a 60-to-70-minute bus ride. When the car is available, we offer a complimentary arrival pick-up and departure drop off service to/from St Albans City Train station as well as a complimentary weekly ride to the supermarkets (Aldi, Sainsbury's, The Range, B&Q, Halford).
