This self contained modern Annex is situated in the picturesque village of Arrochar, on the banks of Loch Long, with stunning views of the "Cobbler" amidst the Arrochar Alps. It is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists, swimmers, kayakers & those wishing to experience the Scottish Highlands, within easy reach of Glasgow & Stirling. The mature gardens have extensive bird life, with red squirrels and deer visitors. The village has good train and bus connections and a few lovely old local pubs. The space A cosy guest house comprising of one bedroom (King size bed), a shower-room/ toilet and a living room and kitchen area (sofa bed, dining table, flat screen TV, coffee machine, kettle and toaster). The Annex is ideal for 2 people, but the double sofa bed can be used for an additional adult (or child). A travel cot and baby bath are available on request. Outdoor seating area to enjoy the stunning views over the loch and Arrochar alps. Chiminea and logs are also available. We are on the banks of Loch Long with easy access to the water for boats, kayaks and paddle-boards. The recently installed jetty/pontoon is located in front of the property and is accessible via a ramp or steps. Fishing is allowed for a small fee. We are also just 1.5 miles from the freshwater Loch Lomond. There is strong Wi-Fi and a desk. An ergonomic work chair can be provided on request. Onsite parking for 2 cars. Access to washing machine, drier and iron on request. The Annex is attached to our main residence. Please check with hosts regarding which areas of the garden are available for guests. Guest access Outdoor seating area with amazing views over the loch (lake) and hills. Use of the front lawn with bench seating and wooded area. Access to the Loch (lake) is directly in front of the property via the Loch steps or by the ramp down to the jetty. Other things to note The cleaning fee covers the cost of a cleaning company deep cleaning the Annex (1.5 hours at £20 per hour; plus laundering & ironing the bedding and towels (£25): laundering of the sofa bed bedding an extra £15. Rising energy prices have caused our cleaning company to increase prices. Apologies. We have successfully applied to Argyll & Bute Council for a short-term rental license - this has been approved.
