Description

Welcome to our lovely (non smoking indoors;) apartment, with sunny garden, in the nicest neighbourhood of Amsterdam. Experience the city at a 10 min (lazy) bike ride from the centre/central station (+ Sloterdijk) and at crawling distance from Westerpark with it's historic factory buildings turned into fun. (As soon as we fixed it) Rent our steady, spacious 6-person boat and enjoy those views! Bike rent is €50 for 1 day & €80 for your entire stay Registratiecode: 0363 F523 C09D DDCD 102B The space The apartment is on the ground flour and feels nice and spacious. It has a skylight and the entire wall to the garden is made of glass so there is a lot of light. There are two bedrooms inside the house, a really small one with only a double bed and one normal size room with a double bed as well. The third bedroom is in the little gardenhouse. The beds in the main house are 1.40 x 2.00 meter, the one in the garden house is 1.20 x 2.00 meter. Around the corner you'll find the lively Spaarndammerstraat with may nice cafes and restaurants. We specially recommend House of Pong although the tables are mostly taken. During the summer you can go swimming in the open air 'Bredius Bad' which is only 5 minutes by foot. The Spaarndammerbuurt is built in the famous 'Amsterdamse School' architecture, with many beautiful buildings, like the famous building ‘Het Schip’ and squares. It’s definitely worth to check it out. The best thing about this area is the 'Culturepark Westergasfabriek'. This parc hosts many events and nice coffeeplaces, restaurants and even a cinema. It is a lively place but you can also find a quiet place and relax. We also live close to the Haarlemmerstraat, which has won the price for 'best shoppingstreet of the Netherlands' for three years in a row. One of the two bedrooms has a very limited amount of room for (convenient) storage. This bedroom is also raised (about a metre) which could make it hard to get on to for physically challenged people. Not for Mohammed though. If you leave the door open she might visit you around 5:00 in the morning asking about her breakfast. She won't be verbal about this if you close your door though and there's plenty of fresh air coming through the silent and closable 'vent' above your head. Guest access The apartment is easy accessible by public transport. The busstop is just around the corner where busses stop from both Central Station and Station Sloterdijk. From Schiphol you can reach our house in less than half an hour (train and bus). Other things to note Our cat 'Mo' plays a big part in our house, being that she always wants cuddles and/or food (so watch your plate). You can give her half a bag of wet food from the tiny bags in the closet with the post-it cat food, every evening around dinner time, but it’s fine if you forgot. So do we. Mo is allowed to go outside through both front and back door, but she can’t be alone in the hallway, with the doors closed, since she may have peed there once and might do so again. Only Mo can enters the garden house through her own chipped door. This might awake people sleeping there. We mostly leave her some food there as well so she has a place to be dry and relatively warm when we leave the house while she’s outside. Registration Details 0363 F523 C09D DDCD 102B
