Just a few steps to great restaurants, breweries, theater and Main Street shops and galleries. We are located 17 miles north of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, with convenient FREE shuttle service, right down the street! The house is quiet and private, yet located right downtown with plenty of off-street parking. Muffins every morning and the coffee is always on! The space This is a lovely Victorian, built in 1900. We have plenty of space, and yet we are right downtown, one street over from Main Street. We actually have a lot of privacy, even though we are in town and within convenient walking distance to everything. Should weather curtail your outdoor plans, we have many choices for indoor fun, and the house is stocked with almost 100 different board games. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, with the exception of other guest rooms and private bedrooms. You will also not be allowed in the basement or attic, due to safety concerns. We have a large yard for your use. In season, we have a grill outdoors which you are welcome to use, as well as a Chimnea and a new Stone Fire-pit. During your stay Paul is on-site most all of the time, and both Paul and Bill may be reached by text at any time. We want to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Other things to note Pets are welcome, with responsible owners. Be aware that we have a cat on the premises. Winston is a black long-haired gentlecat who loves talking with our guests. He is without a doubt the most conversant feline we have ever known. He is affectionate, loves people and being held. Very pleasant personality. Not your average cat. Having said that, if you are allergic to pets, this might not be the place for you to stay. There is Free Wi-Fi service throughout the house, and we have Free Dish TV in every guest room, and some with Roku boxes installed already. Please note that we have two rates for the room.
